  1. The Personal Attack Policy. there's been a lot of them in this thread.
  2. ....couldn't tell.....you're holding it in well......
  3. I just had to drive home on Cicero Avenue.....driving IS TOO a sport....a DANGEROUS one too....
  4. ....if I was a Mod right now, I'd have suspended you for 6 months for that. Count your blessings. :finger
  5. ....ONLY 16???? ...so you're saying I still have a chance????
  6. It's just a rivalry, like in sports. Both sides know that people want to vote for "a winner", which is why 3rd parties get almost NO votes. Voting for anyone other than "someone who has a chance to win", even if you're voting for someone who reflects your beliefs, is mocked as "throwing away your vote". So just like any sports rivalry, there's taunting, s***-talking, lying, distorting or exaggerating your opponent's words, and so on. It's just a game, albeit a high-stakes, dangerous game.
  7. And don't you DARE sign up any new members!!!!!! NONE OF YOU ASSHOLES BETTER f*** UP MY FAN CLUB!!!!! ....you SSUCK2K4...
  8. At my work, we have a drinking game - we take a shot every time the boss asks if we did what he asked us to yet....
  9. ....I am my biggest fan.... YAAAAY ME!!!
  10. The only hitless wonder in the 2004 World Series was Scott r0len.
  11. If the White Sox ever start to embrace the thought of some stupid f***ing curse, I swear to God I'll stop following them. The LAST THING I want is to be associated with that Cub/Red Sox cuddly curse bulls***. "Reverse The Curse", blowing up HAUNTED BASEBALLS, "Why Not Us?" t-shirts, it's all obnoxious, narcissistic, pity-pot, "LOOK AT ME" crapola. I'd rather go to my grave pissed off at Reinhorn & Co. than to start falling in love with the failure of the White Sox.
  12. But when he's healthy he seems to be a ballhawk, and often gets into position for those short shots. I think the Bulls will be kinda fun to watch, and pretty close to average. Still too young and green to make too much of a push for the playoffs, although in the fairly weak Eastern Conference, you never know... ...ain't it something how ALL Chicago teams seem to be in s*** divisions, yet almost NEVER win the f***ing division titles???? Not saying the Bulls are in a s*** division necessarily, since Detroit and Indiana are both there, but they can't get into the playoffs in the East... :banghead
  13. If there ends up being some sort of Mod rotation, please keep me out of it. I'm far too lazy and disinterested to moderate. I'd let the fights get really nasty and then just ban everyone. Or I'd go all WSI on your ass and lock threads like a maniac. And then I'd ban myself, come back under a bunch of aliases and talk s*** about all of you. So please protect me from myself and keep me out of it!!!
  14. Yes. A giant fan was blowing back their carrier pigeons.
  15. Stinkin Linkin is part of that AWESOME "nu-metal" scene.
  16. Maybe I'm alone here, but I have a feeling that the window of opportunity for Houston is gonna slam shut. Beltran's gone - someone will pay him way more than the Astros can offer. Clemens might be gone, although maybe Pettitte can talk him into one more year. Their cornerstones are getting older, their bullpen is ( for the most part ) Brad and bad, and without Clemens would they have ANY reliable starters ( Pettitte and Oswalt can't be considered "long-haul reliable" coming off their injuries ). Unless they have a bunch of stud kids ready to come up, I can see them going to mediocre in a hurry.
  17. It's a short list of Soxtalkers who might have been watching that instead of the WS. Me, you, da Queen, Savvy.....who'm I missing? But now that baseball is completely done, the AHL is pretty much the only sport I'll even bother tuning in to. MAYBE a Bulls game here and there......maybe.......
  18. Still no early 80s or ( dare to dream ) early 70s games. Guess it's not going to happen. Probably a rights issue ( or knowing Wirtz, a rights FEE issue ). Oh well, another good idea gone half-assed.
  19. I know. And I don't care. Once the Cardinals crapped out, I lost interest. And I will ALWAYS watch hockey over any non-White Sox baseball. Hockey's been my favorite sport for as long as I can remember.
  20. Bohonos making his Wolves debut tonight, already has a goal and an assist in the first period. 3-1 Chicago after 1 period.
  21. As poetic as it would be for the Cardinals to come back from 3-0, it's not going to happen. Get used to the following phrase: Boston Red Sox - 2004 World Series Champions Congrats to the BoSox fans on the board - to come back from the near-dead to take it all is an impressive feat, no doubt.
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/t...dio/3955289.stm Legendary British DJ John Peel dies of a heart attack at 65 years of age. I was aware of him only through the "John Peel Sessions" series of albums. He was credited with introducing a wide variety of bands, artists and musical styles to British radio. Everything from death metal to reggae to bluegrass, he played it all. That kind of musical diversity is more and more uncommon in any form of radio, with everything micro-formatted and the box getting smaller and smaller.
  23. And in a related story, Alan Keyes had a breakfast cereal named after him. It's called Crazy f***ing Nut Crunch.
  24. Yeah, that sucks. Aside from Hamilton, Edmonton, St John's and Syracuse, they pretty much stay in their own conference. But HOORAY, more of the San Antonio Rampage for US!!!!!
  25. How about dressing in a big burlap bag with a #12 on it and go as a SACK?
