  1. Huh? Statcast projects distance based on distance from the ground when it hits something i'm pretty sure.
  2. I thought they resumed travel after the all-star break? Did they cancel that? I saw that reported everywhere.
  3. Of Eloy: Fangraphs: "Shit, we forgot this guy existed when we made our trade rumors list. Maybe no one will notice after he gets back if he struggles a little" **10 games after the return** Fangraphs: Damn it...
  4. LOL that projection makes no sense; he broke the tracker. The wall is 410 and he hit it off the facade like 40 feet in the air.
  5. Tim is hot again. So streaky, so good. Teams think they find a hole, he sees it, changes, and one week later lights out.
  6. Vaughn needs reps. The guy didn't play in games last year, and this is his first time ever playing the outfield. Reps are the only way to get better, and for a young guy the more the better. He's not some seasoned veteran who has the whole game figured out.
  7. I have no idea when this BS started in baseball, but if Andrew Vaughn was anything like any other kid in the country who was good and focused on baseball, he was playing 100+ games a summer starting at 13-14. Load management for young position players in baseball is comical in my opinion. I have no idea why this nonsense started. There wasn't a rash of baseball injuries to young guys because of the increase in games played. Jaysus.
  8. I mean, they already called the guy up which gave him health insurance coverage for life; I doubt they wanted to call someone up just to IL him. While likely meaningless in his case, it also would have counted as service time.
  9. Here's my analytical look. Hes throwing strikes
  10. Headed to the game tonight, so you all know what that means!?!? Big loss.
  11. Sports journalism has always been like this.
  12. Eh, great win. Offense picked up the team in the end. B good folks!
  13. @Baron I'm going to the dog park. I won't be posting from there. I hope that is OK and that you don't accuse me of only posting when Kimbrel blows leads. I will keep you updated on my schedule going forward as to not confuse you.
  14. This guy more upset with me than he is with Kimbrel. Pretty hilarious. Good news is we still win this game.
  15. Yes, it must be a vast conspiracy that at 5pm I got off work and turned on my other computer. IDK about you, but I work until 5-6pm pretty frequently, and I post less during work because I'm getting my ass handed to me there. Holy shit. You're sitting here stanning for Kimbrel as if he's done something to earn your admiration as a White Sox. He's a dominant arm who was having an incredibly dominant year after two bad ones. I heard a lot of excuses for the bad years; now I'm hearing an excuse for why he gave up 3 runs to blow a lead. The fact is, every game he blows makes the trade worse and worse because he will pitch in SO FEW innings his impact is really tied to shutting the door in the chances he does have. That's why the trade was a poor way to spend your assets at the deadline, as I said.
  16. I've barely posted since the trade pal; occasionally I have other things to do in my life than post. As much as I enjoy it; I am posting now because I Just got off work after a long ass work week.
  17. Why the fuck would I be rooting against him? LOL I want him to be as good as possible, I just understand that the limited amount of innings that relievers pitch makes trading a lot for them really risky, especially when you already have a 16 million dollar closer. There are countless other posters saying the same shit but you chose to obsess over my comment. I want Kimbrel to strike out every batter and dominate, but I also know that crazy shit happens in small samples.
  18. GTFO with this garbage. He's paid 16 million dollars to get people out. If he can only pitch in one situation then he's a clown. This was a high leverage situation that he made even higher.
  19. He just blew a freaking 3 run lead in the 8th inning guy. The entire point I've made is that one or two bad outings literally degrade the value of the trade given the limited amount of games in which he makes a serious impact over his replacement. That's why trading a boat load for a reliever is terrible, and his ERA Is now over 9 with the Sox which again... is why trading a shit ton for a reliever who is already paid 16 million and pitching in a set up role is something no other team has done. Kimbrel will be fine, but guess what? He blew one of the chances that a replacement likely would not have.
  20. Guys, if the White Sox play like the worst stretch of baseball they'll likely have this season, in the playoffs, I don't think they're going to succeed there!
  21. Savala isn't good, but he's got a 142 wrc+ so far so to compare him to a pitcher is kind of crazy.
