Guys got 1600 at bats in his career an a -1.1 career WAR. Between him and Kelenic, they've got 3000ish career AB's and a .2 WAR. You extrapolate that out over another 30,000 AB's and boom, you've just stole 2 WAR! The White Sox Moto: Where guys with 1500 career at-bats go to "get their opportunity" to show what they can do!

You throwing kelenic out there is pretty funny. Won't someone just give him a chance?!?!?!

Ex.Act.Ly! What's crazy is I'm going to be looking for some Luis MVP odds if a book posts him outside of Other! Will be hilarious when the Mets "fix" him and the mob starts to turn on MEME worthy Fuller!

"This is an easy concept to understand intuitively. I guarantee that you’ve done something similar in your life before. As a former markets guy, it feels to me like hanging on to a stock too long even as it keeps going down. When it’s at 80, you want 85 for it. When it’s at 60, you want 65. Pretty soon, it’s at 20 and you’re wondering if someone will pay you 18. Some of the rumored returns for Robert would dwarf what the Sox ultimately got for him, but they were playing a game of chicken with their potential trade suitors, and they lost." from fangraphs article today on the trade.

Yeah, wish this was like all the other fan forums where people hold hands, agreed and shared incredibly valuable and predictive information and only that. You posting this is like me telling someone they come off as abrasive online.

Missed that, glad he brought more than the one receipt I did. Eddy must be allergic to criticizing Getz and with the US healthcare system he can't get an epipen so he's playing it safe! Wonder how much Getz was sweating after telling Jerry he could save him 2 million if he spent 20 million for a couple weeks. Guy probably threw a party when Tucker went to the Dodgers!

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
HUH? You quote the wrong guy? No I'm talking about you telling us the Sox picked up Roberts option with the intention of keeping him, and would not give him away to save money. You then presented all these articles and quotes where Getz claimed he was their "CF this year" and claimed Getzy was playing 4D chess over there. Turned out they wanted to save 2 million so they picked up his option to give him away.

Guys, I can't take anymore Fuller will fix 'em MEMEs. My stomach is sore from all the laughing. Let's take it easy.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Its funny how obvious it is once you think about it.
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Never considered before but someone here said it... sox picked up Robert option to save themselves 2 million..that makes more sense than everything else. Hilarious to think about. Guess it's only 1.5 million in saving after trade

Tony arm never bounced back after all the injuries. Think hes washed but hed be way better than the other bums listed.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Eddy is so funny, swear to god. This guy was just spending days telling us Getz actually wasnt trying to trade Robert and would hold team hostages for his talent.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Guy was bad in AAA before he ever appeared in the MLB?

The guy has a 70 wRC+ in AAA over his last full season+. No one is talking about only his MLB failures.
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Well they did have someone better, and they just traded him so they could have the lowest payroll in baseball. In his last 700ish Minor League at bats (not even big league at bats) he has a wRC+ in AAA of 70. If this guy wasn't a former top prospect, he'd be struggling to find AAA playing time.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Worst SP and worst OF in the MLB. Can't believe some think this team can be remotely competitive. I'm not really that interested in a guy who has a bad hit tool AND has no power. Guys like that don't exactly have a strong track record of breaking out. Speed and defense don't matter when you can't hit the ball. Another Fuller MEME though, so we got that going for us.
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
I'm really not sure this is true, but I do understand the logic. Roster spots are finite. At bats are finite. If Acuna is a negative player then he's taking opportunity from elsewhere, and getting a negative player for 2 million is worse than having a positive player for 20 million. Unless you're cheap obviously. The only way this is better than not picking up the option is if Acuna is an actual MLB quality player. Otherwise you just wasted money on no production instead of paying the 2 million for him to move on and giving an opportunity to someone else.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
A salary dump when they literally just picked up the salary lol
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
This obviously isnt true. Robert value has gone down every year since 2023. They could have moved him after one bad year and got much more.
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Hindsight? Lol, pal, ive been showing data and reasons crochet was a top 3 arm in baseball since his 5th start with the team.
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Nah, now that this team signed Murakami, I heard they were all in!
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
I mean.... they traded Crochet and then he went on to be the 2nd best pitcher in MLB and led the league in innings pitched. They traded him because of his injury risk and then he was the most durable in baseball. No idea how anyone wouldn't argue the former, especially since I called it from the second he was traded.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
This you? "I'm coming around to the thought that the White Sox aren't repeatedly marketing Robert and failing, but they made the decision that he's the best option as their CF, and if another team wants to change their plans, it's going to cost them."
-
LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Traded Crochet too quickly and waited too long on Robert.
