  1. Acuna is getting nothing for him. So no, it doesnt make sense to spend all the time, energy and resources to trade a better player for a worse one in my opinion..
  2. How many times do you need to be punched in the face by these cheap, incompetent, dweebs before you stop thinking theyre coming in for high five?
  3. But but but, I thought getz wasnt actually trying to trade him unless he was blown away. This team picked up an option to trade it to save money when they have a historically low payroll lol.
  4. Because he works with coaching staff when his career is on the ropes?
  5. NBA probably more likely. Cap complex, floor assures veterans getting paid. Nba would actually work pretty well on mlb too because issue in basketball is 2 elite guys are enough to carry. Thats not the case in baseball.
  6. A cap is great for 95% of the players. A cap is great for 90% of fans. A cap is great for the sport. Problem is the 5% are leading the union, and the owners of the 10% had been loud and influential for a while but those tides have turned. Other owners are on board now. The players have undoubtedly lost out on money over the last decade because of the lack of revenue and profit sharing. Fans have lost out on interest.
  7. A league with an anti-trust exemption....
  8. The Dodgers lol. This league is just dumb. Best is those who think there are no issues. "Free Market."
  9. Even with that nitpick, and using fangraphs, he's the 10th ranked player via WAR since 2021 and he's only 28. He's a + RF'er too, despite fangraphs weird negative grade and he's a really good base runner. The Tucker market is beyond weird, but then again many of the big money guys went later into the off-season so who knows.
  10. Despite the big velo, Weathers has never done much for me. Every team thinks they can get more out of him, but he's just not very good.
  11. Detroit has spent more money than the Sox, but Cleveland, KC and Min are in the bottom 6 in spending so far.
  12. It's black and white. I just cited it. Are you somehow arguing he wasn't able to get out of the way of the vehicle when he literally did? I don't care about history or emotions or stories or political affiliation.
  13. I don't want to have a political debate with you, as like some here I find the polarization nauseating, BUT I do care about rights and the law and procedure. From the DOJ itself: DOJ Bylaws (https://www.justice.gov/jm/1-16000-department-justice-policy-use-force): Deadly force may not be used solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect. Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless: (1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle. The officer very clearly was able to move out of the path of the vehicle in the video, therefore he violated the policy and the DOJ law as it relates to discharging a weapon. It's important to know your rights, and the expectations of law enforcement. Fleeing a crime, that was a misdemeanor at best, does not allow for law enforcement to shoot you. It is black and white.
  14. I've said this before, but the majority of baseball players are certainly CK aligned. The sin of Shaw wasn't his beliefs, but the fact that he wasn't available for a very important game due to the death of someone he met within the year. Unwritten rule in that case being, immediate family and/or best friend is OK.
  15. Matt is on the hot seat but why would Philly move on from Sirianni? Guy has 2 super bowl appearances in last four years. AJ brown is definitely being traded though.
  16. Caleb has a little of Joe Crede in 'em.
  17. Yeah, only person who's allowed to judge people based on individual anecdotes, events or actions is CK!
  18. Were his teammates supposed to tell him not to go? Lol What a weird position to put your teammates in..most guys dont need to double check with their teammates when they attend a funeral because people naturally understand. The fact he even had to ask shows what a pantload he is.
  19. No idea why they'd rather have bregman than tucker.
  20. I said same thing before this game, and even better after it... but let's go get a win for once Bears. Why not??
  21. He's just so inaccurate. Simple throws he's missing by 5 yards. This isn't a tonight thing either. This is a career thing.
  22. Shocked to see him miss another wide open reciever on an easy slant. Guy stinks. Defense also stinks.
  23. Still want someone to explain how luther caused the int by not running right into the safety overhead.
  24. Don't hurt him Booker, Malik is tougher for us.
