Konerko's "Big Slump" of 2002-2003
I was at this game too. Which is still one of my favorite regular season ballgames. That 2003 season has a lot of similarities to me with this season.

6/10 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 7:10
I knew that was coming before the pitch. If these guys can't think for themselves give him the take sign there.

Aaron Judge Critical Of Donaldson's "Jackie" Comment
Come on.....Mlb almost destroyed itself with a lockout, can't decide on a juiced ball or a dead one, and alienated it's fan base with the appletv deal but somehow it's competent enough to racially engineer it's work force? Mlb teams have been sending coaching camps for kids into inner city neighborhoods for years. There are a lot of reasons younger African American kids aren't playing baseball at the same rate they once did but mlb marketing is not one of them. Major League Baseball is equally incompetent to all of its fans.

Flying in for a couple games, need info
I hate that this is happening in our city but I also hate when people ignore it. I think a good time can still be had in Chicago but now is the time to be as vigilant as ever wherever you are.

Flying in for a couple games, need info
10 people shot at the McDonalds on State and Chicago last night. But hey it's only a perceived threat so no worries.

Flying in for a couple games, need info
That's a fair point.

Ballpark Experience at G-Rate Field so far in 2021
I thought it was mostly fine. Don't like being confined to one area of the park but not a big deal. They were still doing piped in crowd noise opening day which was obnoxious and unnecessary. Did they still do that for the Cleveland series? Would like to see them add capacity soon.

Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
The offense is dead right now so put them in positions they prefer. If Yoan has protection from Abreu and starts to come around then Luis will come around with ample protection and it impacts the rest of the lineup. I'll settle for anything right now that gets Moncada out of the 4 hole. He is not a cleanup hitter.

Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
How about they just stop with the clean up hitter nonsense? He's stated himself he's comfortable in the 2 spot so put him there. Make him comfortable. Give him some protection and see if he gets hot. Quite frankly with TA out Robert should be leading off. If you have Robert, Moncada, Abreu, Grandal everyone there is in a better position to succeed. What's been thrown out there so far is not working.
-
Chill out guys
Can we be done with Moncada at cleanup? He is historically best in the 2 hole and him striking out nonstop behind abreu is providing no protection. Put him back at 2 to get him going and protect Abreu with Yaz since he at least offers some threat at cleanup.

Real Talk - Trading Kopech would be a big time mistake
I get that as well. But by that token Snell could just as well get over here and have a mid 4 era. Not likely but I just don't like considering any exchange a sure thing. And I don't think this organization is in a place yet where it can risk losing prospects in a trade.

Real Talk - Trading Kopech would be a big time mistake
I hear you. However no deal is a sure thing. Let's say we give up Vaughn and Dunning for Snell and Snell hurts himself in spring training. Snell sits out a season and Dunning starts 25 games. Sure its outlandish and sometimes you need to take risks but it is still premature for the Sox to be trading prospects. Perhaps come July if we're sitting 10 over .500 and the perfect piece is out there but free agency is where 100 % of the focus should be right now.

I'm breaking 15 years of lurking status on this site to agree with this thread. Glad to sanity start to break into the hypothetical trade talks.
