  1. Cheaper to buy tix on stubhub or just wait and scalp at the game? Looking to go April 30th and don't want to sit in the upper deck. Bleachers will probably be fine as Ill likely be very drunk. Thanks in advance.
  2. everytime the ball leaves crains hand, i think it will be a bomb
  3. More people in this gamethread than there is at the freakin' game.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) I don't doubt that LIttle 500 is a party, but comparing bar deals on a college campus to the city of Chicago, is like comparing a Kane County Cougars game to a Sox game. Haha no doubt, it was moreso for the entertainment lineup they have planned. Unbelievable.
  5. One of these pitchers will end up perfect tonight, I can feel it.
  6. I can already tell this is going to be a pitchers duel.
  7. Everyone should do themselves a favor and go to IU's Little 500 at one point this week if you want bar deals.
  8. As I said in the gamethread.... Felipe Lopez needs one in the spine tomorrow. Complete dumbass.
  9. Lopez needs a ball in the spine tomorrow. Douchebag.
  10. Haha my bad... Guess I've been hanging around the IB to much.
  11. Do the Illini really deserve any respect after the past few years? Kansas just lost the Morris twins today... Next year will be very interesting in the bigten.
  12. I thought that was WAY gone off the bat. We are killing the ball.
  13. Shaka + Mizzou's facilities = success... You'll be glad you didn't hire Painter. Outside of 2007, he hasn't done a damn thing on the recruiting trail. Not to mention he doesn't make in game adjustments, and he'll tell you that.
  14. I think the athletic program was, but money is never really an issue for the basketball team, and evidently the football program now. Bill Cook just forked over 50 million for Cook Hall to be built for the basketball teams, bought out Sampson's contract, and put together Crean's contract. Then Cook and John Cougar Mellencamp (pretty sure) teamed to build a new fball press box with facilities for the players that was completed last year. Boosters have always carried the weight.
  15. They wouldn't do that to Crean, even though I think every single commit would stick because honestly, who doesn't love Brad Stevens? Crean will get his shot the next 2 years, if it doesn't work out, in steps Stevens. Most would think IU wouldn't even be able to buy out Creans contract, but thats where Bill Cook steps in. Oh, the luxury of having a billionaire booster.
  16. If Stevens' goal was to play in a major conference, he would have left for Oregon or Wake Forest last year. Oregon offered him damn near 2.5 million, and he laughed them off. Stevens makes real good money (about to make even more after his raise), and is coaching in the city he grew up in. The only jobs I could ever see him leaving for is Indiana/Duke. His dad played football at IU, and his mom used to teach there. He used to attend IU games regularly as a kid. As for Purdue going after Stevens.... If they can't afford a really good coach, that is also an alumn, how the hell could they afford Stevens? Stevens is the hottest coach/name around.
  17. Stevens wouldn't even sniff at the Illinois job. Everyone knows what jobs he is waiting for, and which one in particular. Regardless, Weber isn't going anywhere.
  18. Yep, 19 F's and multiple failed drug tests were with the 5 guys that were left. They wouldn't have been eligible, even if they stayed. Crean had to find a new squad of players to add to walk-ons Kyle Taber and Brett Finklemeyer. and he wasn't allowed to leave campus to do so.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) Again, unless you are a cheating piece of s***, it is impossible to rebuild a program from zero scholarship players to a Big Ten contender overnight. It has to happen a part at a time. Especially when you can't leave the campus to recruit. He has definitely disapointed on the court thus far, but he hasn't had a lot of luck. Our best player and leader when healthy (Creek) has gone down 2 years in a row. Guy Michel was supposed to give us a serviceable bigman and as ruled ineligible. Watford/Jones were out games this year due to injuries. Hulls/Creek/Watford is a pretty good core. Fill that in with Zeller/Oladipo/Sheehey, we start to see some good talent. Spring in the 2012 class, we start to compete for titles.
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) I don't think I've ever wanted a group to fail more than Indiana's 2012 class. The program is such a joke right now that the fanbase is drooling over high school juniors. Give me a break IU. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 07:20 PM) Crean should be thankful. If the fanbase wasn't swooning over 16 year olds, they'd actually realize he should be on the hot seat. Haters ... We smell your fear!
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) I know. Also not fair to say he's dominating like no one else has until the kids actually step foot on the court and win a game or two. From a ranking perspective (which is all we have to go on at this point), he really has though. It would be one thing if I haven't seen a lot of these kids play, but I have, and 2012 possesses some serious talent. It's one of the best classes the state has ever produced, and thats saying something. Couple that with IU haven't to go up against OSU, PU, ILL, and MSU for this talent when they have had the worst three year stretch in their history, its pretty miraculous what Crean has been able to do. Crean will definitely have his chance to make some noise soon, and if he doesn't, the keys to a cupboard full of 4 and 5 star players are handed to Brad Stevens. I don't think anyone in the country, let alone the bigten would want that to happen. That said, its good to see Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Indiana continue to pull in top talent. That should put those teams in position to carry the bigten, because when Purdue and Wisconsin are the class of the bigten, we're always going to disappoint in March.
