California Question, Part Deux... Has anyone ever been to San Diego, because im tentatively planning a trip to check out the Sox while they are down there...1. Does this sound like a good idea? 2. Should I plan on my entire week there or should I take a drive out someplace else while im down there? Thanks and Chisoxfn I'm expecting a response from you!!

I will be at the Sat April 16 game. One of my teacher friends can get 75% discount tickets so I cant refuse that deal. Other than that I will have to see but I plan on hitting up at least 3 games this month.

If you want to stay with the book outdoes the movie theme then I would recommend "Bringing Out the Dead" by Joe Connelly. Amazing book, not so amazing movie...

All this talk about backup catchers is a little well, meh.... IMO, if the three headed monster of Widger, Davis and Burke see more than 175 AB's this year combined we are in big trouble. AJ should and will see the majority of the playing time. Your backup catcher should be solid defensively, be able to stay healthy and if he is able to carry a bat to the plate is good enough for me. Sandy was pretty bad last year. Burke, once again a good guy who put his time in, is nothing more and nothing less. He is below average defensively (no matter where you put him). He's well for lack of a better word, OLD, and he hit relatively well last year but I wouldnt bank on his consistent inside-out sawed-off singles into right field on a timely basis. So lets not fret we have AJ, hopefully he stays healthy and were good to go
