  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 07:53 AM) Lucky for you.. Sounds like it couldnt happen to a better guy...
  2. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) It's indecent and doesn't need to be in our public schools. It's not an issue of free speech at all. Theres a matter of "rules" and then there is "common sense" ...Free speech is not a factor, nor should it be for 14-17 year old CHILDREN. Its wrong, plain and simple
  3. God forbid that teenagers cant follw the few rules set upon them at their High Schools....woe is them. :headshake I'm pretty sure if I showed up at work with a "I love my penis" shirt I would promptly be asked to go home. The same students who wear these shirts are the first who would tell their parents if any of their teachers wore a shirt like this...and how offended they are by it. We have given way too many freedoms to high school students already...The dress code is so lax why do they need to wear a tshirt like this?!?! The parents should be ashamed they are allowing this, no child under my roof, who I support would ever be allowed to wear a shirt like that to school. How far have we fallen?
  4. Just to let everyone know....they have never faced one another before so it should be good!!!
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) The Gift presents the best Katie Holmes moment ever, if you haven't seen it, it's a MUST see. When i went to see it for the south burbs people (at Bremen theaters, damn i miss that place)...It sucked that I had to sit through the first 1:30 minutes of that horrendous movie b4 the 'scene'
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 09:12 AM) Oh c'mon. Get real. Dye is a good defensive outfielder and Everett couldn't play good defense if his life depended on it. Dye botched a fly ball. So did that butcher in Minnesota named Torii Hunter. He sucks defensively ... at least based on your comment. I agree he is a good defensive outfielder but this year he has already (had the infamous drop, a terrible throw to third to let the runner advance to second, misplayed a ball in the corner allowing a triple on what shouldve been at worst a double, and had another errant throw allowing an advance of a runner)...he has been charged with 3 errors already this season, and does not have an OF assist. All this while being the worst offensive RF in baseball...(.171/.203/.303) that is pretty sick Im pretty sure no one could do worse than that in the few games played this year. All this being said, I still think he should be playing...
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:20 AM) If Everett didn't make an attempt to get out of the way, how come that pitch hit him in the back? Turning which is a natural reaction counts towards trying to get out of the way. If he didn't move it would have hit his hip or ribs. Crede dipped his elbow into the pitch with the intent of letting it hit him. Details, details.... :rolly As for the Piazza didnt get out of the way...A 94 MPH fastball riding up and in directly at your head is not the same as a spinning curve ball that was thrown at Crede, not even close, fwiw
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:43 AM) I have a feeling it won't be recognized that greatly. ESPN will just say, "BTW, this was the Giants 10,000th win," and then they will go back to slurping the Yanks and Sawx. I dunno, If they are able to pry Pedro Gomez's Lips off of Barry Bonds ass for one second they might let him do a report on their 10,000th win... THAT GUY PISSES ME OFF SOOO MUCH... Report, "Barry Bonds walked around the clubhouse today with one crutch, sat in his chair, and left. His demeanor was solemn but his aura was felt by all who noticed his rippling biceps...." UHHH...thanx Pedro... My least favorite DAILY report on Sportscenter..........who gives a s***?!?!?
  9. As much as I think Dye has played about as terrible as physically possible to start the season I dont think the time is quite yet to drop him from the lineup....Sure drop him in the batting order, I totally agree w/ that...but give him a couple of weeks. I truly believe he is trying to hard out there right now. No one should be or is more embarrased than he was about that drop on tuesday night. Hes pressing to make up for it, lets give him a chance... Now what do I think we should do with Borchard?Time for a change of scenery...trade him to the Pirates for some valueless plunder and a scurvy dog

QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) I prefer Gummi Frogs. Being a fan of most Gummi objects... What does the Gummi Frogs bring to the table that the Gummi Bears are unable to provide?!?! Are not all Haribo Gummies created equally?

    Bachelor's Grove

I've been to the aformentioned 'bachelors grove'...Its a fun little place to go during a boring high school weekend...Everyone claims to see something different, and to be honest it is a little freaky. For some reason at night a green mist appears and you can swear you can make out figures in the distance. In the middle of the cemetery is a little shack where most of the crazy phenomeons take place. My friend claims she was tapped on the shoulder and people here whispers and feel random breezes, u know the obvious "hauntings" Now to be honest I dont exactly buy into to all this stuff, but its cool, check it out and you'll probably end up freaked out (like I was) about basically nothing at all
  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Lloyd Christmas: That's a lovely accent... New Jersey? Lady at bus stop: It's Austrian. Lloyd Christmas: Austria! Well, then. G'day mate! Let's put another shrimp on the barbie! Lady at bus stop: Let's not. Touche...
  13. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) I don't speak german... Please tell me you are kidding...
  14. :banghead :banghead I am shocked....and appalled
  15. Any confirmation on this lineup yet???? Because I thought I have seen it all, but this may be the most rediculous thing I have ever read!

  18. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 08:20 AM) She was a sox fan She no longer is a sox fan??? stupid past tense......
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) Visit mlb.com for the link. Vote early and often. Here a few guys I voted for: Brian Roberts- "I'm Coming out! I want the world to know..." Paul Konerko- 7 HR Miguel Tejada- Already has 132 RBI's Clint Barmes- Strong Start Jose Valentin- RBI Man Pat Burrell- MVP frontrunner Striking fear in the American league...The most dangerous left side of an infield ever assembled in an All-Star Game: Jose Valentin and Clint Barmes............... :banghead
  20. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Jonny G has always been one of my guys...now with that being said, so has Koch :banghead But cest la vie... Garland looks settled in the #5 spot, he has the demeanor of a MLB starting pitcher and actually is pitching like one consistently so far. Agreed...he actually looks relaxed out there, no longer has that weight of the world look on his face "kinda looks like the Bobby Knight game face" because I have no f***ing idea what I'm talking about. anywayz..go get um Jonny G.
  21. Its almost unbelievable how this team has played thus far...it has far exceeded my expecations. The fact we have been in every game is by far the most impressive thing! I finally feel we broke even on that Garland for Karchner trade, it ate me up inside for years knowing how badly the cubs fleeced us on that trade Crede is looking good at the plate, showing some actual bad speed?!?! who'd a thunk it?? Heres to hoping we keep it up on this road trip!!!!!!!!

  23. I completely agree quick... Closer by committee = burned out bullpen As for the pod's play at home...I wasnt suprised he didnt try to run over the catcher. I'm sure the fact that hes still a little gimpy and gives up about 30 pounds to Mauer weighed in his decision. Plus I dont know if he expected the throw to be there on a fly like it was...I can't fault him for what he did, it was a good play by the Twinks
  24. Mark 13 32“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33Be on guard! Be alert[f]! You do not know when that time will come. 34It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. 35“Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back–whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’ ” I dont put much into these people who prophecy on knowing when/if the end of the world will come....
