I mean yeah, and since we are 70 games under 500 it obviously doesn't really matter. But Brebbia's FIP is barely worse than it was last year and that was enough for us to spend 4 million or whatever. EDIT: I think he would have received a 250k bonus if he made one more appearance. So the answer is, we are cheap.

Getting this thread back on track... after over 1000 plate appearances I think it's fair to say that Gavin Sheets is probably not a major leaguer. He's awful against lefties and replacement level against righties. Also can't field. His savant statistics suggest he's maybe had a bit of bad luck this year. But still...
