  1. Guy was tough as nails while he was here.
  2. My god, that signing of Benintendi was awful. At best he was always like a high 700/low 800 OPS corner outfielder. What a disastrous decision. 5 years!? You almost have to consider DFA'ing him when you have players like Julks, Pham, Colas, etc. around.
  3. We may be reading into Luis Robert's behaviour too much... he has always seemed a bit quiet and aloof. His Spanish speaking compatriots are all gone as well.

  5. Maybe this is a basic point, but perhaps it should be reinforced... we should only trade Luis Robert Jr. at a high point.
  6. This is really uncalled for. Soxtalk should be better than this.
  7. I'm just happy we have a player somewhere (anywhere) in our system that seems to recognize the value of taking a walk once in a while.
  8. What is Pedro's contract situation? 2 or 3 year deal?
  9. Myles Straw has considerably more bWAR in a similar amount of plate appearances.

  11. The good ole days! (when I actually used to watch their games)
  12. If Moncada comes back, and Ramos is still playing well, this would be a good problem to have. This would be quite rare for us.
  13. Fair, but I think it's BS when we do that about prospects too.
  14. You're probably right. I was just thinking Grossman could provide a bit more balance rather than push out others.
  15. Yes, he has been terrible there. I'm not sure if they just added him to the 40-man roster. Or if he has actually been called up.
  16. I think this is actually quite simple. Robbie Grossman is an above average right-handed hitter. Over .800 career OPS from the right side against left handers. Limited sample size, but that was continuing with the White Sox (.976 OPS). Over 900 with Texas last year too. Meanwhile, Texas Rangers outfielders Travis Jankowski and Evan Carter (both lefties), are terrible against left-handed pitching. On top of that, Wyatt Langford, another outfielder, just went on the DL for them.
