  1. The sox continue to lead baseball in LtaFAR (Loyalty to a Fault Above Replacement Organization)
  2. Ah, right, we are fast approaching the annual Hahn tradition of "Free trade deadline acquisitions amirite?"
  3. How many different coaching staffs do these players have to fail with before they get some of the blame?
  4. And I'm saying that people on a internet message board generally aren't thinking about journalism standards when they see something in quotes that's not capitalized, they think it's an actual quote. See how miserable and boring this team is? It's got us arguing about quotation marks.
  5. Lol it's an internet message board. I think people are focused more on reacting to an inaccurate or out of context quote than the standard formatting for an article title.
  6. Well, they're also not doing well because they currently have a bullpen game every fifth day because they don't have enough starting pitchers. They're also not doing well because they're still forcing DH's to play RF. They're also not doing well because they still don't have a 2B. Also, we are 10% into the Benintendi contract. He's been fine in a 'he can help your team' way, not in a 'largest contract in team history' way. I will be pleasantly surprised if that contract doesn't get worse and worse each year.

Sox weather is warmer since they're further south, so I'd say we're still in play
  8. Sort of related, but Robert or Burger in the HR Derby would be fun.
  9. They seem to zero in on like the 90th percentile outcome of each player and plan around that. I understand the importance of identifying the ceilings of players, but I get a sense that they rely on them reaching those ceilings. Hence the no depth, no backup plans, etc. Instead all you have to do is both pan out and stay healthy. And since there's technically no way to know that it won't happen, they get to keep believing it will. Great fun.
  10. 100% It's actually refreshing seeing a non robot response. Maybe there's a personality in there under all the stiffness and pre-programmed responses.
  11. It’s absolutely a non story, but the frustration that this organization has created for the fans has put a target on everyone’s back, from the players and coaching staff on up to the FO. I think most folks are just waiting to pounce at this point. I get it.
  12. We’ve been saying this for years, but it feels less and less true as time goes on.
  13. And it’s only missing two regulars. Well, 1.5. There’s no such thing as a regular RF.
  14. All the more reason I’d like to see him traded if he’s one that would prefer to play elsewhere. He deserves better.
  15. While I generally agree with the good riddance sentiment (I have roster fatigue with these guys, gimme some new players to be mad at), I don’t blame any of them for wanting out of this mess, even if they’re part of the problem.
  16. And minus the 6 gold gloves
  17. Friendly reminder that Sunday lineups and regular lineups are essentially the same thing these days.
  18. You seem very quick to call many of the players dumb with no baseball IQ, but with Jake it’s the coaches fault? Also, you seem to be 100% sure that the coaches aren’t coaching him correctly or at all. Possible? Sure. It’s also possible that he’s not applying what they’re working with him on.
  19. Grifol made him not clobber it.
  20. Woo is a pretty decent prospect with an inflated era from getting lit up by Texas in his debut. Him handling the Sox pitiful offense was not very surprising at all.
  21. Right, like, variety. I don’t understand the “there is no variety”
  22. I’ve reread this one a buncha times. Still can’t figure out what it means.
  23. TA two pitch ground out yes/no?
