But that IS the problem. He was a golden spikes winner and considered a very polished hitter who can quickly advance to the big leagues. He was a high pick for a reason, and with that comes lofty expectations that he’s yet to meet.

The biggest story around the Sox is how they suck and how it sucks being a fan of them. How are you surprised that that's being talked about so much? It's virtually impossible to "talk about baseball" without it being centered around how much they suck.

I guess I don't even get the point of watching or following the team with that mindset. For me, it's more passive. Chicago sports is about not expecting success rather than actively expecting disappointment.
