I wasn't doubting that they mishandled him, I was just looking for more tangible reasons like Balta laid out rather than just that their expectations of him were too high. But yeah, colossal disappointment any way you look at it.

They'll also say something about how they are changing the culture. The same culture that the manager spent all season saying was not an issue. The same manager that will be returning for another season. Just normal things.

For two reasons, because he also had that weirdo quote about how he doesn’t even come close to using the internet. Its bad enough that he’s been a terrible manager, but with his absolute zero personality there’s just nothing redeeming about him.

But what’s the point of not trading him? What purpose does he serve pitching on non competitive teams for two more years and then leaving? You trade him and hope that what you get in return develops and aligns with a more competitive window.
