  1. Jose's wrist/hand wasn't right anyway... He got hit there a week or so ago. When he got hit, I was sure he was gone. I thought he had broken something. He hasn't been right since that night. I think he had 2 hits since then, (about a week and a half ago)
  2. Oh good, they're broadcasting from the inside of a tin can.
  3. Game will not be on ESPN1000 or 94.7 either.... Game to be broadcast on WLS 890AM
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) Whole bunch of things you can look up here. http://teamrankings.com/mlb/ AL Central pwns joo
  5. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) I agree . Everyone needs to stop getting offended about attendence threads. Its the f***ing truth! We need to support our 1st place team. 12,000 is f***ing pathetic. If you're going to make excuses about why you can't go, then don't get mad when Frank , paulie and garland are in different unis in the near future. So what section were you in tonight?
  6. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 3, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) Afgan Hound I'm one ugly dog....
  7. QUOTE(redandwhite @ May 3, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) It's amazing that Jon could have been signed long term for around the 2-3 million he is making now, and after five great starts he will be making anywhere from 7-10 million dollars. This guy should have been signed long term, arguably the biggest mistake of this offseason. It's not like an inconsistent Garland of years past wasn't worth the 2-3 million dollars he'd be making if he never did turn it around... This is hindsigth talking... Nobody. Nobody would have supported signing garland to a long-term deal before the season. Not only that but you seem to think that he would have settled for 2-3M. That's crazy. He's making 3.4M this year. That would have been a starting point for a long term contract. 3/12 would have been the starting point, and there's a possiblity he would have rejected anything over two, because that's when free agency would have started for him.
  8. I heard he got those new contacts.
  9. bumped to merge cuz some people want to keep bringing up the same old s***, even though it's completely valid and complain about it.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 2, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) As hard as it's been to watch Contreras he's been very effective, I just think it'd be dumb for a contending team to trade one of there starters for a prospect. I was speculating that there may be a cheaper, just as effective, if not more, option available at that time. The move wouldn't be for this season, but it would free up some cash and set you up to make another move.
  11. I can't say what I would do at the break right now, but I would definitely be looking for 1B for the future. Jason Stokes is blocked by Delgado Adrian Gonzalez is blocked by Teixeira Ryan Howard is blocked by Thome I would say Count + $ + prospect could get you gonzalez.
  12. Two threads in the span of an hour about the Cubs. That screams white sox fan to me :rolly

  14. #1 on ESPN's Cy Young Monitor http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/features/cy
  15. Guerrero just homered off of Santana. That was fun.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 1, 2005 -> 02:22 AM) Great comeback win. That being said, after reading this thread, there are a lot of people around here that call themselves Sox fans that wouldn't know a real fan if one fell on them. I didn't read the thread. I generally don't go in the gamethreads, too much pessimism for me. I'm almost always optimistic.... But even I proclaimed the Sox dead after the 6th. Bases loaded nobody out, and we don't score. We had scored just 5 runs in our previous 26 innings. The offense was stagnent. It was hard to be positive that we could overcome a 2-run deficit in just 9 outs. I just watched the condensed game, and 3E8 is right, Duque really picked it up for those two batters. That guy is a gamer. I
