I said a .500 team. Nobody can argue with that. We are mediocre. I accept it. The team has teased us with some great great moments and wins; but we are just .500 this year.
.500 teams are not a lot of fun to be a fan of. They tease us. We just ain't that good. I doubt anybody will disagree with that.
It could be a lot worse, I know. We could be the Royals and buried six weeks ago.
Oh no, not the Alexei to centerfield argument again. Not gonna happen.
CQ does need to start being last year's pre-injury CQ or he's just another one year wonder.
Dye may have hit a funk in his season. That makes him no different from anybody else except maybe Paulie, whose been pretty consistent all year. Dye is a god.
Broadway. Thanks for the info. I wonder how he's been doing. He didn't thrill me like Clayton did.
Today's loss is all on falling behind 5-0. I didn't see it. I assume John Danks had a s***ty day.
A mental off day? Well f*** them, then. Suck it up guys.
AJ can't play every day. Our back up catcher can't hit. Thome, Konerko, Beckham, Getz, Dye, Pods, Nix all played today and we still lost.
I assume we got the bad Dotel today. Not that it matters.
We played great overall in the last seven games, but our record says we are pretty much a .500 team.
On to Cleveland series. Got to win 2 of 3 to keep this thing rolling in the right direction.
As bad as we are on occasion, the Twinks have been pretty darn horses*** this season. I'm still not convinced Detroit is that good, but they have a nice 3 game loss column advantage on us barring a rousing ninth inning rally.
As lousy as it is to lose, we just have to keep winning series. Pretty much every series. We'll be 3 back in the loss column v. Detroit unless we rally today.
Got to take 2 of 3 vs. Cleveland.
Tying it up woulda been huge. Wish Nix coulda got his up in the air instead of whiffing. But can't blast a guy who already has a 3 run homer. Bad inning for the good guys.
