Man, CQ is one beat-up player. I wonder if he'll always have injuries in terms of the way he crowds the plate. Won't he be whacking inside pitches off his instep and foot all the time? Not flaming, I just wonder if he was a one-season wonder only because of injuries.

Baseball commish demands we play a DH today or the next day. If not, we lose 2 in Wrigley and lose 2 of 3 in Cell.

Not having a doubleheader today, a day-night DH is dumb. Baseball should step in and make them do it. WTF?

I don't want to get banned for saying the same thing over and over so I guess we agree to disagree. I simply don't see the point of booing some guy who is and always will be a horses*** player. It's like kicking a dead horse. What point is there? I like to think about what I'd tell my nephew if he was at the game with me and I was booing Wise. "Uncle Greg. Why are you booing him?" Cause he sucks. "Oh." If we are going by performance a lot of our guys would deserve to be booed on a fairly regular basis on our team. I won't post any more about booing him. Go ahead and boo him if that's your cup of tea.

I just don't understand the wasted negative energy. He seems like a nice enough guy. When you see him, does hatred fill your body? It's a f***ing baseball game. Our team is mediocre at best. Why boo him and add insult to injury? Wise is a s***ty baseball player and doesn't belong in the big leagues. Why waste the negative injury on a nice guy who happens to suck at baseball? Why not boo Ozzie and KW? I mean if this guy had expectations and was a good player who was loafing, fine, boo him. He's Dewayne f***ing Wise ... a stiff. So what's the big deal? WHy not cheer Pods who has resurrected his career?

Man, the Royals dust off the Reds, win all three. In KC, they are hoping they are going to now return to the way they played real early on. Any hope for KC? Like the Sox they are only a handful of games out in the loss column.

We don't play too well at Urine Field. Hopefully we'll get good pitching and defense in the pit. Then we can worry about our off and on hitting. Gotta get good pitching to begin with.

I've never understood booing. We all know he sucks. Why would you boo him? What does that prove or help? That you know he sucks? Everybody knows he sucks. Why not just stand up and boo Ozzie? Scream Ozzie's name? Why would you boo Wise? If somehow he heard you it would not help him get a hit and don't you want the Sox to win? Send Ozzie and KW letters? Threaten to boycott the games? Why boo Wise? Yes he sucks EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT!

I'm sick of complaining about guys on our team who can't hit. We have a batch of them. Why single out Wise? Anderson is not exactly Mickey Mantle at the plate. And yes, I agree Wise sucks. But it's sort of like complaining about Walker. He's here; deal with it.

Good points, swingandalong one. Wow, that was an emotional rant you had there. I agree everybody always wants the next best thing. It's human nature. The unknown. Veteran ballplayers must laugh when the media flock to the lockers of the new studs time and again when they get called up. I'm happy for Jose, but you have to admit, it was tough to watch his horses*** outings earlier this season when they rushed him back. It would take a saint to not have turned on Jose for those horrific performances. They were utterly awful. That said, hope the new Jose keeps it up.

I don't know how anybody can say he's anything but a great defensive player. He's not a good hitter, probably never will be, at least not with our dysfunctional team.

I hope KW makes one trade -- either Dye, Paulie, Thome, whomever and saves the rest of the dealing for the offseason. I'm a little surprised he didn't trade a vet last offseason. It's obvious he thought we had a nice mix of youth and vets and pretty much all the young players he was counting on have sucked or been C-minus at best.

Ozzie might like Beckham better if he'd get a hit once in a while. He's officially off to a Robin Ventura-start to his career. Hope he rebounds as nicely as Robin did. I mean Beckham's start at the plate has been a nightmare.

It amazes me that there's no limit to this and what fans will pay to go to games, eat food at the games and drink beer at the games. Are people going to spend 10 bucks for a beer soon? Of course. They'll spend any amount. This kid isn't going to be pitching any time soon. Negotiations to drag on the full year.

Hard to believe Moore has been there four seasons. I feel for the Royals. They always were pure class with Brett and all those great players. Then a whole generation has known seen the Royals as bottom feeders. Do you go to a lot of games? You must be a big baseball fan if you are on the Sox board.

How bout Jenks for Coco Crisp, DeJesus and Gordon? Or Jenks for Soriano and a minor leaguer. Or Jenks for Kemp and a prospect. Or keep Jenks. I like him still.

Gavin was dealing. I don't know why I'm so upset he didn't get the W. Hope he's not feeling as upset as I am. The guy was cooking and we blew it for him. Nice that we won the game obviously but Gavin really deserved the W on his record. As far as Lexi, we can't afford to sit him. At least he's had some games of late where he's had multi hits. Beckham is close to being officially not ready. If he can't hit the NL pitching coming up, I don't know what to say. He's got to pound some of these NL pitchers. This has got to be his worst 5-6 game stretch in his entire life, right? Little League to Babe Ruth to high school to college to minors. He's 1 for a a bundle.
