Dotel is such Jeckyll and Hyde I actually was wondering if somehow you could tell which Dotel you'll get watching him warm up. My guess is you cannot tell. I mean how is Oz supposed to tell if he doesn't have his stuff?? After one pitch in the game? One batter? I guess he could bring in Dotel and if the first runner gets on base yank him, but that's generally not the way it works.

That usually doesn't work. For some reason closers like Soria the other night implode when asked to do the two inning thing. No good can come out of a manager being afraid to use his bullpen. Losing home games sucks. We need to salvage Sunday's game. The Twins have to be so loose going into tonight's game realizing they can pick up a full game on the Sox who couldn't win at home.

Do these Polish girls speak English? How the heck do you pick them up w/out speaking? I think most of us can say we are damn jealous of you. Three beautiful foreign girlfriends?? My god you are a lucky man. Do you look like Tom Cruise or something or can any normal American Joe be just as lucky in Poland??? Back to baseball: I'm not going to be so dumb as to say I think we won't get in the playoffs. But if the Twins win again tonight and are on their way to sweeping a four-game series with the Angels ... I would think only a die-hard would think we are going to beat the Twins out for the division title this season. Maybe the best thing to happen would be for them to get a five game lead and then just completely start choking because right now with us on their tail they seem to win every series, almost every game. Like fathom said a week ago, those three games in Minnie will likely be penciled in as losses. We still got to play Boston and NY on the road, right?? It would have been nice to win this series vs TB. Now we have to hope we salvage the finale which won't be easy. f***.

I liked Raines as well. Later in his career didn't he suddenly stop running? He got slow. Do you think he was a steroids guy? Remember how big he got late? -- f*** you network. They are showing the Cards v. Braves here in KC area. Assholes.

I'll say that on some nights that filthy nasty stuff gets rocked all over the ballpark. I love seeing his ERA of INF on my fantasy team on more than one occasion (pardon the fantasy reference). I have seen nights on TV where he has been unhittable. But too many nights he's meat. I agree the most recent acquistion from the Royals is a bust. Stop pitching him. Is his name Ramirez?? Just say no to him, Oz.

That normally doesn't work out well. KC's closer Soria has been unhittable. They brought him in the eighth the other night. Boom. Home run. Dotel needs to bring it every night. Some nights you could hit him. Other nights he's awesome.

I realize Dotel has been very good in some games. But are you aware we haven't reached the postseason since acquiring these former Royals pitchers including our new reliever to go with MacStiff? Hope they aren't a jinx. Look up Royals in the dictionary and you see the word "loser."

If Thiggy really said he wanted us to move to St. Pete then I despise him. Are you sure he said that?

Dotel may have been "8th on the list of our problems" but he was sickeningly bad.

Still, didn't slowey strike out 12 batters or something like that? They are amazing. It's still the Angels they are beating. The Angels fans should pray they play the Twins over us, cause in the postseason the Twins are a different team. They'll fold again.

Yeah Quentin could be on the list with his MVP season. But OC and Swish. I recognize the list is for favorite players. I can't see how anybody could have fallen for them this quickly. Carlos I could see. Somebody might just love what he's done so much he's made their all time favorite list. He wouldn't make mine yet, though I respect what he's done for sure. It's a subjective list, but how could anybody fall for Swish and/or OC this quickly??

We got bad Dotel tonight. I'm sorry but he's sucked in enough games that he can't be considered a phenom or pleasant surprise or a bullpen standout. Yes he's been decent. Yes he's helped us win some games and on some nights he's been outstanding. But you can't tell me he deserves the money he's making. No way.

That's what's so frustrating. You know damn well they are going to get swept whereas we will scare people cause of our postseason magic of 05. The Twins piss me off. It's to our credit we're tied right now. The Sox have stayed with these guys as they continue to sizz.

It just might happen. If the Twins keep this up, they will be like the Royals of 77 who buried the South Side hit men. The Twins like that Royals team from mid August through mid September just don't lose. Hopefully our guys won't quit and hang in there and see what happens. But the Twins certainly look like a team of destiny (til they get mauled in the first round again). The key is simply winning every series. If we do that no matter how hot the Twins are we will be only a handful of games back for if and when they finally come down to earth.

I know jinxes do not exist, but I hope you knocked on wood after writing that. If not please do so now.

That is wild and cool somebody ranked Willie No. 2 on their all time list. I would never even have thought of Willie but if he's your second fave player ever so be it. I am glad he got that hit and scored that run! Is he a starter this year? Is he a valuable big leaguer? I do hope Swish and OC do not make the list. My gawd, they are newcomers and not worthy of any fan favorite lists yet.

I don't know about OC's "winning attitude." The Sox beat writers have not written much about that.

Hope that was a joke which I suspect it was. I mean I love the Sox and agree we're bashing the ball, but we have to prove it against the great teams. We did split with Boston which was good I guess. Our recent play has been great but we've taken care of some s***ty opponents. We need to beat the Rays, Yankees, Bosox, Twinks down the stretch.

Yeah there's nothing more we can do. It's the Twins that are bugging me. I want to see them lose eight of nine. Kudos to the Sox for not having a sub par stretch the past week or we'd be five, six games out. If only they had had a s***ty homestand we'd be five, six up.

Zach deserves credit for battling back. I think he's on pretty heavy medication. Hope he continues to do well. Seems like a nice kid.

The Twins piss me off. Don't they know this division is ours this year? Why won't they go away? Those bastards.
