And that’s a White Sox Winner!
That's a weird post. All wins are pretty satisfying. Wins make people forget the blunders in a certain game.

And that’s a White Sox Winner!
Never underestimate a win. This marathon season is misery personified if u can't enjoy wins. That said, some bats are showing life. Burger, Vaughn, Robert, Abreu, Mendick. That was a fairly nice series.

GT 6-4: Sox @ Rays (12:40pm)
Nice win. Good to see 4-5 guys hitting fairly well. Love me some Burger, Vaughn, Robert, Jose especially.

And That's a White Sox Winner !!!!
Burger wins that one. Beautiful home run. Graveman was one meatball away from blowing it in the eighth. He got out of the jam barely. Good thing. That would have been a ridiculous loss following Burger's deep drive.

Moncada + Grandal
I didn't realize Moncada was 10 for 73 this season. That's hard to do. One double and two bases on balls all season so far. Geez he stinks. I'd put Burger at third and see if any team wants to take Moncada off the Sox hands. At 27 he appears to be a bust for whatever reason. Sad but I'd go with Burger at third and bring Crede in to teach him the tricks of playing 3B well. Or I'd move Moncada to second now. Who cares if he minds? 2Bmen are a dime a dozen and even if he hits .200 that's as good as Harrison. Sox are a mess but nice win today.

6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
I was so wrong about Burger. I thought he was a stiff from Missouri State. I thought he was fat, instead he's Bob Hoerner. Go Burger! Game not over yet with Graveman coming in.

Gas. High Gas (prices).
There should be more of a national outrage about gas prices IMO. Maybe people have more disposable income than I thought. I'm upset during trips to the pump.

2022 Catch All
Does Houston arrest, charge and throw bad guys in prison? My guess is yes. Got to be a deterrent.

GT 6/3: SOX @ TB, 6:10 PM CDT, NBCSC
Boy the Sox stink without Timmy. It's amazing how irrelevant this team is on June 3. Bummer.

2022 Catch All
I can buy all this. Good post IMO. ... Do u agree with me at least the gangs are laughing? They got their guns; they got their ammo. They are pretty much set. But I hear you and tend to think it'd overall be a good thing if guns were harder to get. I do fear those who already have the guns/ammo tho. they are ruthless and do not care about human life of others.

2022 Catch All
I do remember some of this, never as bad as today. I remember the days decades ago when NYC was very dangerous. I remember my dad had to go to NYC for business and the family all worried about him going there to be in a very very dangerous city so to speak. I do remember fear in our household of his trip to NYC. Then NYC got cleaned up to where it was very safe til recently. I do not EVER recall Chicago being known as a very very dangerous place with its weekend murders and carjackings and home invasions an actual serious problem (now there were serious riots under Daley for the convention that Chicago will never live down). I don't live there anymore but I have tons of relatives and friends in Chicago who are afraid, flat out afraid. One successful businessperson who lives near downtown is not afraid, but prepared for when he gets assaulted, not if. ... I do recall some of the bomb shelter talk many moons ago, but again don't remember it being a very legit topic. Just seems much much worse now in all regards, so much I think any person, especially ones in big cities, need to think about having guns for self defense/family protection. For school shootings ... I would be in favor of armed guards at schools and allowing teachers to be armed, but frankly it's not just schools. What about churches, stores, concerts sporting events, seems to me there are too many places where mass shootings can take place. It's scary. But I doubt I'll ever get a gun. I have to hope society wises up at some point and becomes kind again.

2022 Catch All
I'd be OK with all of these rules regarding gun ownership. these rules in theory could help and I would vote for them. However devil's advocate would say there are so many assault weapons out there now that any nutjob killer will have no problem arming himself to commit atrocities. Black market guns will always be available. ... And gangs are laughing I'm sure. They have their guns and can get more and big city mayors have no intention of stopping gang murders. But I can agree to these rules you mentioned. The body armor/tactical helmets one is iffy cause Antifa members already have all that stuff and the regular citizen probably should have the right to be able to get that stuff too.

Texsox with a slam dunk/home run post. People need to be armed for zillions of reasons and Tex knows them.

2022 Catch All
Yeah, but a lot of things could happen before the government decided to blow up cities/neighborhoods which means it would be prudent to have some weapons. Thing is, it could get bad and people might need to defend themselves from roaming gangs if there are food shortages if the grid gets hit. The way things are going in society with all the violent crimes out there not being prosecuted, anything's possible once the grid gets hit and the economy completely crashes to great depression like status and the baby formula shortage turns into major shortages of all products which some people are suggestion could all happen at some point if this downward spiral continues ... The bottom line is with society in a downward trend concerning murder in big cities, those with guns are probably a smart lot of people for having them. ... I have no guns but I can see why some people do. Hell, I've even heard those commercials about buying food supplies that last years on legitimate radio shows. Used to be conspiracy theory stuff not shown on legit radio/TV.

Where are Hahn and KW?
Good post. I don't see Sox doing much against teams in the division, though. Case in point Kansas City. One of the worst teams in Royals history and Sox have looked just as bad as KC in head to head matchups. This Sox team doesn't have it. Maybe if Tony stepped down and some young manager came aboard and the defense got better and .... ah forget it. Not gonna happen this year. Too many holes in the team.
-
Where are Hahn and KW?
It's tough like peeps have said on here cause KW and Hahn probably blame this mess on Tony and they didn't want him. So they can't say anything about that. It's pretty apparent by now Tony is part of the problem. Although acquiring Harrison and Pollock alone should be enough to get Hahn fired.

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
I love Eloy's attitude and obvious love for the game. It's a shame about his health.
-
Where are Hahn and KW?
They should be sick about how bleak the future looks for this team, immediate future and down the line. The Sox 'strength' is starting pitching. If I were the Sox, assuming starters forevermore will only go 4 or 5 innings, I'd try to build a team with 9 starting pitchers. Try something unique like going with two starters per game every game. See if the two can get it to the ninth, then use the closer. It's time to build for the future as the team is abysmal right now. Hahn and KW need to figure a plan and Sox are not going to win anything with modern baseball the way it is today. Also if your are going to have a pathetic hitting team, get great defensive players who can't hit at every position. At least in my scenario sox will have pitching and defense down pat. KW and Hahn have to have some kind of plan for the future.

2022 Catch All
Like u wrote ... I support raising age to 21. Yes limit magazine sizes. Yes background checks. Don't think the advertising matters in the era of violent video games. I'd keep the assault weapons legal just in case things really get bad in society. It's already bad enough with home invasions and carjackings and random assaults on big city streets. If the government turns on the people, the people need weapons. If food shortages come or the Chinese hit our grid, gosh yes regular people may need weapons and a lot of 'em. Right now there's a war going on in Ukraine, the world is totally on edge. China is warning us to not interfere with whatever they do (Taiwan) in any way. The economy according to some is close to an historic collapse. WIthout guns, citizens could be in deep trouble someday. Concerns me cause I have no guns.

White Sox @ Blue Jays 2:07 PM, Cueto (0-1, 2.41) vs. Manoah (5-1, 1.77)
This team officially stinks. Seven measly hits again; at least two were by the sensational Robert. Today it was Lopez who stunk. This team is not built for modern era baseball. The starter going five innings and relievers taking over the rest of the way is not going to work with this team. Too many bad to mediocre relievers. We all know about the lineup. It is what it is with the dead ball. It's anemic. Sox aren't hitting home runs in bunches at all. I don't think there's a solution. I just think we're the new Baltimore Orioles. A team going nowhere fast. My gosh do the Sox stink. I did assume this would happen without TA. The road record is going to be historically bad; should be close to .500 at home. Peace out.

2022 Catch All
The far left has made it clear. They want no guns. It's the latest topic in which they scream over everybody else. We must have guns cause anybody with a functioning brain does not trust the people in charge. Not trying to be political here, but does anybody really think the people in charge in chicago care if u get carjacked or home invaded? You must be armed in a perfect world. If they come after our guns in the USA there will be war. Nobody who has an arsenal down south is gonna give up their guns as well as other parts of the USA. FOR PROTECTION! Our officials are not protecting us people. This is all very sad but true. My friend in Dallas does not have a gun yet but all his pals do, he told me. They ain't turning them in.

2022 Catch All
The teachers must be armed in a perfect world. Paid training for use of guns. However if they refuse, that's OK, too. Try to get them an assistant who is armed.

It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Jose gets a ton of respect from the opposing announcers.

Who Would Buy The White Sox?
If I go into detail about why I think Chicago is a hellhole or certainly on the wrong track, it will derail the thread and close it quickly. My nephew is a firefighter in one of the worst crime ridden areas of the city and lives in the heart of the city. Tons of relatives in Illinois. Yes I have opinions which can't be shared here cause of rules. Forgive me if I think 'ok boomer' is not a proper response to a discussion.

Who Would Buy The White Sox?
You think Chicago is on the right track as a city? You think the future is bright? Name calling is boring/unproductive. Discussion more interesting. I'd like to hear a billionaires' takes on Chicago being a good investment for a team owner right now personally.
