With all the automatic outs in the Sox lineup the past few seasons, I figured it would do no harm and perhaps some good to add a guy who has won. Just one I wanted the Sox to do something opposite of what they normally do. I give them credit for Vaughn, but many of the Sox moves involve adding automatic outs or horrible pitchers to the mix.

I find it hard to understand how Americans can be so different. I am 100 percent worried about the carjacking problem and unabashed violence in cities and now suburbs. I personally find it impossible to believe you guys aren't concerned seemingly at all. My positive post: Of all of our fill in, super subs, I kind of like Mendick. Also Vaughn is pretty good hitter. Another Positive post: Basically the Sox win as many games as they lose so that means we Sox fans are happy 50 percent of the time. And a non Sox positive note: Likeable Yermin ... Here's a guy the Sox should sign for the rest of this season. Lorenzo Cain has been DFA'ed by Milwaukee. The Sox appear dead most of the time. The Sox have at bats available. This guy has played for winning teams. If nothing else, he'd help the Sox win Central Division games, especially against the Royals. The Sox are in a stretch they pick up stiffs like Harrison and Pollock, bunch of guys like that in the past. Why not try something different and pick up a guy who "could" conceivably spark the team, get hot and lead an injured Sox team forward. Before you dismiss it, why not try the Costanza method? Do the opposite of what the Sox normally do. Pick up Cain and release Pollock ... NOW. Do you agree or not? I want Cain.

Nice win. Good to see a starter go 7 innings. That had to be the first time all season a guy went 7. Maybe one other time? 12 hits is good. Thankfully Robert and Abreu's shots past third for 2 RBI apiece were fair by a foot. If those are the usual foul balls this team hits it might be a different game. Beautiful blowout win. I was just reading about Moncada pulling up and hurting his hammy. Sounds as bad as all the other hammies. Two weeks minimum?? Didn't Burger also have tightness? So both those guys are hurt. I won't jinx a certain player who is "due" to get hurt about now by mentioning his name. Sox have too many injuries. This is an emergency and Jerry needs to spend a lot of money on beefing up the medical staff/training staff. This is absurd. These guys' bodies are so susceptible to injury. Except for Burger it seems all the "studs" so to speak are getting hurt, the ones with well sculpted bodies. Call Bo Jackson up and ask him for pointers on how to not pull hammies or Jermaine Dye or Pudge Fisk. he was a big guy.

Sox still are banged up but one under .500 has them in the race. I won't rub it in but Tony seems to have weathered the storm of the intentional walk game. If the players hated Tony we'd know by now. They seem to like him so let's see what happens. As much as we fans despise the Sox when they suck, we all want them to win and look good and give them credit when they win. p.s. What can I say? I'm a fan. Fans often are emotional stupid pieces of dung so to speak. Sure I change my mind. I'm a lifelong Sox fan, baby. I lose my patience at certain points, of course I do. ... I'd like to stay consistent at all times but obviously I fall short. I do try to always support my all time favorites like Jose, Konerko, Dye, Ozzie, Jenks. ... I would like to say my heart won't be broken if Tony got fired (which he won't cause he's the owner's best friend for gosh sakes). I've rated his performance as a D so far this year ,but I also dont mind if he remains the manager. The injuries and makeup of the team (Hahn's job) are the real problems.

Just saw Liam is hurt. Three weeks? Damn. Is baseball as a sport in trouble? Seems like the majority of Sox players are hurt or have been hurt this year. Is this a sport where pitchers just physically can't go? And hitters can't take the quick movements left, right, up and back? Insanity regarding injuries in baseball.

Why even discuss this. Jerry is a zillionaire. Jerry regrets firing his pal decades ago. Jerry is not going to OK the firing of Tony LaRussa. Tony would have to resign. How can anybody believe Jerry would fire his friend again?? Not gonna happen.

Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas lost a no hitter with two outs in 9th tonight 129 pitches in this day and age. Awesome they let him go that long. Finally baseball wises up and lets a guy go for a complete game no hitter.

I think most Sox fans would gladly accept a 10-game winning streak when the team gets healthy and they'll be silenced about Tony. I just don't think it's logical or 'smart' to think Tony is the problem. Sox fans in this situation are totally overvaluing the lousy players in this lineup and in this bullpen. I notice nobody else is giving a grade to Tony for this year and his career as I've been doing.
