Tonight's game proves how easy it should be to beat horrible teams. Finally ... 9-2 over a pathetic KC club. I'll take the W.

Hard to blame Hahn. He can't very well trade the pieces he acquired during the tank. He lives and dies professionally as the guys he acquired fare. He can't trade Moncada, Robert, Eloy, Gio, Kopech, Yas, Liam.

They rarely play with energy. They play like a 77 year old ballplayer who has little energy.

LOL at how you don't mention specific names of players you want in the trades. Easy to get rid of your players. How bout some names of players you want? There aren't many players worth a bleep nowadays in MLB. ... For instance, Tim Anderson is a pretty solid player, hitting .313. Yet only six homers and a ridiculous 25 RBI. What would a team give up for him? He's not exactly acting like a superstar of late. He's 'OK' like a lot of players your proposed trades would acquire.

Hmmmm. Greg was against the tank/rebuild. I like the traditional way of building teams, then catching lightning in a bottle like 05.

I wish Jerry would just sell the team if the Sox have to base all these decisions on "not being able to sign" a guy. Get out of the business, Jerry. p.s. Is Giolito even a special pitcher? Or just another 5 1/3 inning, dime a dozen guy? One 'good' thing about having a bad team is most fans don't care about trading favorite guys anymore? I mean I wouldn't be mad if Jerry traded any player except Jose. I like him lots. I also would prefer keeping Eloy and Robert. I like them despite the injury risks. Oh and I like Cease as well. Good acquisition. Even TA, Sheets, Vaughn, Yas, Gio, who. cares?

Abreu is not that bad a fielder. Did u see that play the other day on that bullet down the line? He hasn't dug throws as well this year but he still digs throws just fine. Collectively the team stinks tho.

Curse of Nicky Lopez. Naperville's finest. ... Seriously tho, this Sox team should be embarrassed. So many losses to the Royals and Central's trash teams.

LOL. Sox kinda stink.

Easy 6-4-3 I'd suspect. He has two hits tho.

Nice hit by Sheets. Even if Sox lose, nice base hit. DP coming?

Sox need a new lift and pull hit coach. Salvy Perez had that perfect lift and pull swing. Two bombs enuf for the Royals tonight?

It's flat out embarrassing to lose to the Royals as often as the Sox do. Two home run balls are enough? Geez.

If Ohtani stayed healthy, wow. I really love him as a player/pitcher. So do we all, right? However, if I were the Angels, I would have asked for Colas, Rodriguez and Vera, plus, yes, Robert. If I were the Sox I'd replace Robert with Grandal, Kelly and Graveman. So Ohtani for Colas, Vera, Rodriguez, Grandal, Kelly and Graveman. Would u do that trade? Ohtani is pretty good.

Sorry lostfan. Condolences. Many moons ago I got the call that my close friend had been murdered in Wichita. The sadness is so indescribable. Years have passed but I never forget my friend and her fam and have stayed in touch with them thru the years. Peace to you lostfan. Rely on your friends and fam for support. Sorry for all involved here.

That lineup is not fear inducing. But if Sheets, Vaughn, Jose, Eloy, TA square up and mash, who knows?

I noticed when the Sox scored there was no celebration. Is there a chance they were respecting the A's catcher who looked like he was in the way? And wasn't the pitcher in the way? They didn't leave the scene right away did they?

And yes, the Sox HAD to win on Minnie Minoso Day. What an icon.

Nice reverse jinx by me and others regarding Sheets. I'm happy for him. Just cause a lot of us bury him doesn't mean we don't want him to blossom. That certainly was quite a bomb. Also Jose haters need to give him his due. That pick at first base was marvelous whether Jose haters want to admit it or not. 50-50. Just a couple games out. It's obvious this team blows, but in this horsecrap division is anything possible?

As expected, the All-Star break took all momentum away from this team. So dull.

Hope Sheets made good use of his 2 mill signing bonus as a second rounder. Looks like he's another guy not going to make it, at least with the Sox. Kind of sad. He looks so good in a uniform.

Anybody who knows baseball knows this is not a good baseball team. Anybody who knows baseball knows the Sox division is very weak. And finally anybody who knows baseball knows anything can happen. But your last sentence is 100 percent true.

Something is wrong with MLB. I will whine on and on, but it's just not entertaining. Could it return to the game I enjoyed? I doubt it. Pitchers apparently have morphed into physical beings incapable of pitching more than 5 2/3 and I used to very much enjoy a well orchestrated complete game or 8 inning masterpiece with ONE reliever mopping up. today's game is incapable of giving me that I guess cause of evolution of the arm (incapable of going deep in games). Also the shift is not annoying, it's laughable. ... As long as lefty hitters refuse to bunt when there's one guy standing on shortstop as the only guy capable of throwing out the hitter, I'll laugh my ass off rather than be entertained by his hitting a bullet to the right side for the easy out. ... No more stolen bases ... no more triples ... just strikeouts and walks and HRs (this year a bit diffrent cause of the dead ball). Baseball is horrendously dull. It makes no sense that I'm still watching. Whiners are not enjoyable to be around and I am a whiner about the pastime.

I've checked out mentally. I won't feel like an ingrate if the Sox 'somehow' get their act together and win. I still try to watch on mlb.com when I can but the fact Robert has been out again (sadly Eloy's next injury is about due) and the injuries keep happening coupled with very very boring games made me realize a while back this team blows. Baseball is a funny game (credit to Uecker) and that is the 'only' reason I consider a playoff spot possible. But believe me I've checked out. Sox are mediocre at best and a very very lousy baseball team. Not sure what's worst, the makeup of the roster or the way the guys hit and pitch. It doesn't take a smart baseball mind to see the team is built to lose. Prove me and others wrong, White Sox. We are fans and deserve to change our minds if you show some life. Up to now most people would say we are not out of line for hating on this wretched team.

Yeah I keep forgetting the job of football coach pays almost nothing. I wasn't aware he had a business. Man, that would be draining to run some business then head over to the high school for practice, monitor weights, then the games on Friday. Long days and nights I'd assume. He did a nice job IMO. Rice had good teams almost every year. I hope we don't turn into St. Laurence football. Just OK every once in a while.
