  1. Sox usually have pretty decent closers. It's the other relievers who traditionally stink.
  2. I would think so. I don't even want to think about it.
  3. Sox trying to hang on in a game they once again hit horrendously. Yasmani seems like a very bad baseball hitter to me. Is anybody high on him still? Poor Moncada also appears hopeless. Six hits is another anemic night.
  4. Sox would be well served to have a roster plan in the future. If you want to stockpile DHs and 1Bmen, you are the White Sox front office. There has to be a way to get some guys who can play outfield as well as hit a bit. Also in this day and age of lift and pull they better start teaching these guys in the minors how to lift and pull. You can't win when u lead the league in errors and frankly probably have a lot more since official scorers usually call things hits.
  5. The Sox swing at that crap in the dirt. Ninth inning was so ridiculous.
  6. Those last three outs were certainly grotesque. Kind of sad really. Hitters had no chance and seemed deflated (I know, unprovable subjective opinion by an angry fan here). Hitting coach must be proud of those at bats (sarcasm).
  7. Madrigal is like a lot of White Sox ... he gets hurt a lot. I think he may be a bust, too.
  8. OM gosh. Three of the worst at bats of the season there. Hyperbole. I don't think so but I"m upset, so maybe. I don't know if Tony is OK or not still but why the hell does he want to manage the rest of this season? Tony ... go enjoy some hobbies and let somebody else try to win with this flawed team. Please Tony!
  9. I thought it was against the new rules to pitch into the eighth. Of course his pitch count is under 100 so they are still obeying the new rules.
  10. Five hits to this point is laughable. Your .500 White Sox. Acceptable one night; horsebleep the next. And always ready to lose the first game or two of a series.
  11. Dick Allen as u know hit a home run in that right centerfield nook area at old Comiskey. I'm pretty sure it's the only home run hit there ever. Dick Allen and Bo Jackson did things no mortal baseball players could do.
  12. Aww good line, but Caulfield is a good guy,. He can't help it though to comment on the padres and also attendance figures of the Sox and other MLB teams.
  13. Who was he? I know Nicky Lopez was Naperville Central.
  14. Royals are back to being a minor league team. Amazing how this tank/contend thing works.
  15. Nice to see Jose this series return to his old form vs. KC. He killed them in the past. Jose is really putting together another Jose-like season despite the early month woes and some people doubting him. Eloy mania is back. If Eloy can stay healthy and get some help from hitting coaches, it's apparent he can hit.
  16. Finally doing what the team needs to do vs. Central Division. Beat these very weak teams on a nightly basis. That said, love Eloy and Jose raking. Some other guys got hits, too. Bash the ball.
  17. Tonight's game proves how easy it should be to beat horrible teams. Finally ... 9-2 over a pathetic KC club. I'll take the W.
  18. Hard to blame Hahn. He can't very well trade the pieces he acquired during the tank. He lives and dies professionally as the guys he acquired fare. He can't trade Moncada, Robert, Eloy, Gio, Kopech, Yas, Liam.
  19. They rarely play with energy. They play like a 77 year old ballplayer who has little energy.
  20. LOL at how you don't mention specific names of players you want in the trades. Easy to get rid of your players. How bout some names of players you want? There aren't many players worth a bleep nowadays in MLB. ... For instance, Tim Anderson is a pretty solid player, hitting .313. Yet only six homers and a ridiculous 25 RBI. What would a team give up for him? He's not exactly acting like a superstar of late. He's 'OK' like a lot of players your proposed trades would acquire.
  21. Hmmmm. Greg was against the tank/rebuild. I like the traditional way of building teams, then catching lightning in a bottle like 05.
  22. I wish Jerry would just sell the team if the Sox have to base all these decisions on "not being able to sign" a guy. Get out of the business, Jerry. p.s. Is Giolito even a special pitcher? Or just another 5 1/3 inning, dime a dozen guy? One 'good' thing about having a bad team is most fans don't care about trading favorite guys anymore? I mean I wouldn't be mad if Jerry traded any player except Jose. I like him lots. I also would prefer keeping Eloy and Robert. I like them despite the injury risks. Oh and I like Cease as well. Good acquisition. Even TA, Sheets, Vaughn, Yas, Gio, who. cares?
  23. Abreu is not that bad a fielder. Did u see that play the other day on that bullet down the line? He hasn't dug throws as well this year but he still digs throws just fine. Collectively the team stinks tho.
  24. Curse of Nicky Lopez. Naperville's finest. ... Seriously tho, this Sox team should be embarrassed. So many losses to the Royals and Central's trash teams.
