I won't bite on this and get suspended but I do have a hot take on politics if anyone wants to DM me and discuss. Something going on is making greg very very angry politics wise. Peace.

I like Eloy too but this is kind of silly IMO. A baseball player needs to leg out hustle doubles and triples and score from first when applicable. Get a fricking trainer who can make these guys' bodies do simple things like uh, run? I can see him stepping on first base wrong while hustling on a slow roller hit to third but geez u still have to take your chances and hustle at all times. I think you keep one of our injury prone guys, Eloy, Moncada or Robert and get rid of the other two. Get rid of Grandal too somehow. And Pollock. And Harrison. Lot of bad players on the Sox and in the league.

That's what I was thinking. Mercifully Cleveland can put an end to this run of mediocrity with a win Thursday.

Three hours 7 minutes for that boring crap of a game. Baseball we have a problem. Your sport is ridiculously boring. Sox should be ashamed. They are not gonna make the playoffs. Took 'em too long to sort of wake up. It just did. They ain't playing postseason baseball in 2022. Should be interesting to see the revised rebuild this offseason.

The Royals style disgusts me. Cause it involves tanking. I hate tanking with a passion. It goes against every fiber. I want to win every game If the Sox are 25 below .500 I still want to win the final seven games. I do not care one iota about draft position, especially with Sox scouts.

I don't like his voice but I'm trying to give him a chance cause I like what he stands for, a former Sox player who clearly loves baseball. Anybody know his personality? Was he a willing autograph signer as a player? Nice guy or a jerk? I am glad hes in the booth.

Guess what folks? Jose gets a statue at GRate field someday. A statue. His average has been around .310 for the season for several weeks now. He deserves this division title and a shot at one more playoff. What a star.

Good questions. Re. your first paragraph ... I think your problem there is with baseball more than the Sox. It's become a horrificly dull experience, Poor pitching you say? It's cause there are WAY too many pitchers being used all over the league in games. You throw five, six pitchers a night, it's guaranteed some will suck. Hitting? I was reading the league BA average is in the .240s? That means almost everybody in baseball is a bad hitter. They almost all swing feebly at those sliders that come after players foul off the fastballs. It is horrendously dull experience watching 'most' players at bat. Thing about negativity and stress, not much joy? Well, you know the answer there. Watch the games, enjoy em with the kids, and wait patiently for the year everything comes together and your team dominates and/or wins it all. I'm in Kansas now. I've told rabid bball fans to relax. Kansas will win it once every 20 years in basketball if it is fortunate. It's that hard to win it all. KU won it in 1988, 20 years later in 2008 and then "only" 14 years later in 2022. Those peeps who stress about every game need to look at the big picture I've laid out. Peace and love, Ringo Starr. p.s. of course in this day and age of tank/rebuild, u could get fortunate enough to be one of the teams with a 2-3 year window. you in that situation 'might' make the WS one year, lose, then win it the next before u have to rebuild again. Those are outliers tho.

I think we totally disagree on this issue and guess what, America, life goes on for both of us. I learned something reading his post and hopefully he gained something from mine. Disagreeing is OK. I can respond more to your post if you want but I think it's best to just say we agree to disagree yet had a nice discussion bout it. I do want to say I'm not in favor of TLR coming back to the team. And I love the recent hot streak with Miguel.

I think we are above this kind of stuff as fans. Not meaning you, but what kind of person yells "We dont want you back" to a Hall of Famer or any human being? I guess if you are basing it on the DUI, the chant is acceptable. DUIs are serious and many fans have lost loved ones to DUIs. But public displays of emotion seem 'mob' like to me. I don't want him back but this is just sports. Seems classless to chant mean stuff like that when a guy's had health woes especially. I dont want him back but I'd never condone yelling stuff like that at a mere game. Who knows? We could all be wrong and mabe the guys would play ball for Tony.

Thanx for the insight. Loyola and MC must have the recruiting game down pat. They seem to be outrageously good every year. Rice under Badke seemed to be right there with them of late. Hope coach Q will keep the recent tradition going. Am I overplaying the recruiting angle in my mind? It's kind of stuck in there.

Yeah but you just know when he comes back Sox will lose 4 in a row or something, It'll be embarrassing but that's the Sox way.

Nice win at Benet. I watched the game on stream and I can't believe Rice hit a late pass to pull it out. However, Benet is quite mediocre and actually should have won that game. Rice had so many penalties and use of the two quarterbacks was kind of bizarre. Didn't hear if the starter got hurt. But he came in to throw the winning pass. Rice probably had double the kids out for football as Benet. Time will tell and hoping for the best but if Loyola crushes Rice this week is it safe to assume the new coach may not understand how to recruit on the South side to combat the likes of Rita, Marist, Laurence and some of those other schools in the southside area?

This has nothing to do with your post, u da man, just a thought after reading stuff. Moncada is the kind of player who will always be loved by fans and GMs. He was deemed a superstar his rookie year and it will take a long long time of crumminess to leave that status. Let's pretend he didn;t have a five-hit game. He's been miserable. Now if injuries are the problem and he's playing hurt a lot, my bad. But he truly stinks.

I actually would have accepted the out this one time. Cause with two outs I dont think we'd have gotten the extra hit. And Engel is allegedly fast. I despise our 3B coach but this time he had to go. Engel was soooo slow however.

Love me some Elvis. Truly do. I wonder what he's hitting as a Sox player. I love u Elvis. Liam comes in and Sox might win. Please Tony, enjoy your time off and don't return. Miguel has the "it" factor.

Nice job. But Engel was running in quicskand, lol.

Jose of course hits it right into the shift. Bummer. Nice HR by Eloy.

Watching this puts me in a bad mood. It doesn't help that on the mlb.com feed every half inning you have to watch the Snoop commercial with the SNL guy. My gawd. How can that advertising strategy work? You get SICK of that commercial over and over. Who would buy that product?? Gordo jinxed the Sox last night. Benetti asked him about teams coming back after scoring 14 runs. Gordo thought the team would keep hitting. Didn;'t happen at all. Sox couldn't beat this rotten team.

If Yoan coulda stroked a hit off the softball pitcher in the ninth ... would that have been a Sox record? Six hits in a 9-inning game? Can't believe he blew a chance at a six-hit game by not putting it into play as Sheets did. Too bad Moncada isn't a superstar. I thought he'd be one. Could be injuries.

Very surprised at the reports Tony may be back next week. Sad for Tony and the team. I'm afraid the team is going nowhere with Tony. Sad day if reports are true.

Moncada needs to go. He's a bust. TA playing second isn't an option. I'd move on from Andrus. Go with Romy if he's good defensively.

Is Romy any good? Is he for real?

That;'s what I was wondering LOL. Romy and Moncada have 4 hits each. Is it against the unwritten rules to keep them in the game to try to get 5 hits? So many unwritten rules coming up? Kidding. Sox are raking tonight. No question the Sox are playing 'better' without Tony. That would be so neat if after this horrific season they made something of it with a playoff berth.

I wonder if he even misses the daily grind of baseball.
