Your GM & Manager 2023 Preference
If Bennetti loves baseball he'd be dumb to leave. Once you get named to these gigs, teams keep you forever. So what if he could do college football, basketball. There aren't any nfl openings on the big networks are there? He's young. He should do the Sox gig until something huge huge comes along. He's got to be making great money and these side gigs must pay a ton. How bout grab Rob Thompson from the Phils as manager. Worked in Yankee system forever. Knows winning. Pay him. Bring back dave dombroski as GM. That's all.

How did every team misjudge Kwan and Madrigal so badly?
By the way, is Madrigal going to start for the cubs again next year? Is he still a prospect or a bust?

Talent or Desire?
I think it's lack of talent. Also poor coaching and poor training. Our hitters are horrible and obviously the hitting coach has either a bad philosophy of hitting or is just incompetent. Pitchers ... it's also talent. Cueto and Cease and Liam are pretty good the rest overrated. Sox have so many holes I'm just shocked they are over .500.

Illinois High School Football Thread
How bad is Rice gonna lose to Loyola, MC and Marist? Badly? Like blowout bad? Don't think our alums who must have liked the Badke era will be pleased with new coach's results. Blowouts have been a thing of the past for the most part the past 5 or more years.

9/22 Sox vs. Guardians 7:10PM CT
Not sure they are quitters. They just are no good. Hitters have terrible approach and lacked power this year. Defense they just don't have the ability. And the pitchers are five inning wonders. Big deal. Relievers are minor league quality for the most part. Sad.

9/22 Sox vs. Guardians 7:10PM CT
Seven hits. One big LOL. Nobody with more than one hit on the team tonite. Cleveland owning the Sox in maybe the most embarrassing series of the season. Disgusting. Just bring up AAA orAA players and give them a few at bats at this point.

Give Your 2022 Sox a Slogan
"Chicago White Sox: We rarely hustle but when we do we get hurt."

Give Your 2022 Sox a Slogan
Didn't the Sox play a lot of Central teams early, stink against them and set the tone for their quick starts? Like the Twins? Sox are so arrogant to not get gritty and grimy and do what it takes to beat Central teams instead of flop against them.

9/21 Sox vs Cleveland
Sox go out with a whimper. Most boring disappointing season I can remember in a long time. Poor old Tony kind of set the tone for the season I hate to say just from his being 77 and mumbling all the time and looking lethargic. This team fittingly should finish .500. It doesn't deserve to finish over .500. It's a .500 team. Hard sell for ticket customers for 2023. I guess you make a highlight film of Eloy and Cease and try to sell them as worth the price of admission.

The White Sox cannot be fixed by next season
I am on the record as saying I don't believe in the team core. The team has a lot of work to become good I say. Pitching: Not necessarily the starters' fault, but they are modern baseball five inning wonders meaning the second half of the game is basically up for grabs on a nightly basis (cept for Dylan sometimes). Sox bullpen blows. Needs major work. Pitching not near contender status. Core: Moncada (I've given up; great defensive player tho so I would not be against keeping him, just realizing he ain't gonna hit like I once thought). Eloy: Love him but gets hurt so much. Got to somehow eliminate the injuries. Jose: 72 RBI isn't close to last year's total but I still think he can drive in 75-90 next season. His defense is better than people say. Still love him. Grandal: Ha. He's toast. Timmy: Love him lots; Gets hurt. Good guy to keep. 2B: Laughable. Get rid of all. Robert: Like him, gets hurt too much. Not so high on him anymore. Pollock: Laughable. Bye bye please. Sheets, Vaughn: If the Sox are gonna contend ever again they believe it or not are key. They either turn into studs, which they could, or they play the .250 20 HR game. If they emerge as all star types I'd be a little higher on sox future. I still say we're the new Baltimore Orioles. Going nowhere. p.s. I do like Cueto. He, Cease, Jose and Eloy had good years. Vaughn pretty good too for a 24-year-old. Cheers to him.

2022 Cleveland vs. White Sox - The Defense Rests
Somebody needs to discuss why the Sox are so lame against the Central Division. Even when healthy the Sox lose so many to pathetic teams.

9/20 Sox vs Cleveland
I was so against it from the start. Terrible way to build a winner. In my world we kept Sale forever (even tho he has gotten hurt as people thought he would). I need to watch some 2005 Sox baseball to get in a better mood. ... as I pointed out then, draft picks are a crapshoot and yes the Sox whiffed on many during the tank job years. And baseball completely changed and as I've said a lot the team is in no way built for modern baseball. Peace out.

Man you'd have to have a lot of time and money on your hands to buy White Sox season tix for 2023.

Nice job moving the baserunner by Cleveland.

9/20 Sox vs Cleveland
This Sox team is so poorly constructed for baseball in 2022. So much work to do on this roster.

Sox catch a break just as I was gonna ask for a new hitting coach.

9/20 Sox vs Cleveland
That was one of the worst at bats imaginable by AV. No hyperbole. That was mind bogglingly bad.

I just tuned into the game. Oh boy. The Sox bats are dead again. Yay, though, Elvis with the hit.

Fire Tony Chant
The team execs should read this post and be alarmed. A lifelong fan, seeing how sickening it is to watch these guys strike out and hit weak grounders and popups into shifts, and basically appear to play with NO passion has driven a lifelong fan to simply eat his tickets for 11 games. says A LOT about how boring this team is and how disgracefully bad this team has been against the weak weak Central Division. Great post by Harry. He hates this organization right now and this should alarm the Sox (but won't of course).
