You think we're done scoring? Or do we have more runs in us tonite?

The way Swisher is hitting, I'd be all for BA playing a lot. Sick of Swisher making outs. Glad he's being rested.

Why can't we take control of the game instead of immediately giving up some runs?

Can we finally play well on the west coast?
I sort of agree with Stoney but I think 5-5 really wouldn't prove anything. 2-8 or 3-7 I think we're done.

So who's the idiot
How bout Griffey for Dotel and Uribe. Or Dunn for Uribe and Brian Anderson. Or Griffey for Anderson. I like Brian but obviously KW and Oz don't.

Nick Swisher
I wish a reporter would do an indepth piece on days off for players. Let's say a DH takes a day off. OK, does he still hit BP the full time? Still do all the other stuff? Get to park early, et. all? That means all he does not do is take official hacks in his four plate appearances. Is a day off beneficial to a DH? Or a first baseman?? I mean they still are doing very little physical activity. I think days off are overrated. Now a week off for Swisher might get his head out of his butt. Or play Anderson a full series and rest him a full series to see if BA can actually hit better than Mr. sub .200.

So who's the idiot
I wouldn't be against some kind of trade with the Reds right now. But obviously not CQ. How bout Dunn and somebody else for Paulie or Thome. They can take pick.

Can we finally play well on the west coast?
This trip is scary because suddenly it's a must we get our act together after that last trip. Best case scenario in my mind with the team's confidence shaken after the last trip is 2 of 3 versus Seattle and SF and 1-3 versus the Angels. That would be 5-5. I'd take that now. I fear 1-2 vs. SF and Seattle and 0-4 vs. the Angels who are good enough to sweep us and that's be a horrific 2-8. If I had to guess, I'd say 4-6.

2008 White Sox Catch-All Thread
I didn't know how to do a poll, so I didn't start a new thread asking what everybody thought our record would be on this upcoming road trip. It scares the s*** out of me. The Angels are flat out good. Seattle and the Giants stink. Best case scenario: Somehow win 2 of 3 versus both Seattle and SF and lose 3 of 4 to LA. That would be a 5-5 trip. Worse case scenario: Lose 2 of 3 to both Seattle and SF and all four to Angels. That'd be 2-8 and coming home to play Cleveland we'd pretty much be buried just as we were last year early on. I will be optimistic and say we'll go 4-6. Any predictions?

Feast or Famine White Sox Offense will Take Years to Fix
That was a good article and scary. The article pretty much indicates this team cannot score near enough runs to win. I would suspect the team will start getting KILLED on the road like last road trip and play probably just under .500 ball at home.

Nick Swisher
He needs more than a day off. How bout a week of Anderson.

Ozzie quote in the Sun-Times today
Dumb quote by Ozzie. The hitting has been a major problem obviously. Can you imagine what our record would be if the team had hit at all the last couple weeks?

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
The good news is Dotel and Linebrink got holds. If we are going to do anything (assuming the hitting can scrap together some runs like it somehow did today) we need to establish set up men. Dotel and Linebrink leading up to Bobby is our hope. They did it today. Can the big boppers Thome and Konerko do something in these upcoming road games???

Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
Oz is panicking; we in trouble

Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
Our light hitting shortstop (oops second baseman) one upped their light hitting shortstop.

Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
Holy bleep; you gotta be kidding me.

Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
When is Oz going to start hating Swisher, that is the question.

Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
Excellent job of "knowing your team."

Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
And at home .. and against the Twins.
-
Twinks (17-15) @ Sox (15-17)
The Twins' s***ty hitters get hits (Everett), their great players get clutch hits (Mauer). We might as well blow up the team and have all no name players like the Twins. Our name players aren't s***.

White Sox Clubhouse and Sex Dolls
Everybody has to read that Downey column. Congratulations Mike on a terrific column.

Positive Catch All
Dotel and Logan are very important. Nothing will matter if our offense stays this s***ty. But if the offense becomes respectable we still need some set up success if we want to do anything.

MIN (16-15, L1) @ CWS (15-16, W1), 7:11pm
90 wins? We still have no team speed. We still have question marks in middle relief big time. Our veterans have not hit for some time now with the exception of Thome and Konerko LATE last season. Swisher and Cabrera are not excelling. I don't mean to be a doomsayer but the middle relief and the offense is quite questionable. I applaud the starting pitching and Bobby. We also can't win at home, or haven't yet. Our home record is a BIG concern to any team that wants to win 80 games, much less 90.

Greg Walker yet again leads Sox to worst batting average
Walker should be reassigned if they don't want to fire him. This team needs to make a change and apparently Oz is safe. Don't fire the guy ... reassign him and make Baines the hitting coach. Just do it.
