  1. I don't think he deserved all the "s*** that was thrown at him." The guy was DOMINANT last postseason. We hadn't won a WS in about 99 years. Give the guy a break. If this is the start of something big, great. But look around baseball and you'll see a ton of starters that have been "inconsistent."

What is Fields' history? Has he always been a third baseman? It doesn't always work out trying to screw with a guy and move him around. If he's the real deal, obviously he or Joe will be traded.
  3. Jenks has been phenomenal of late. All star berth? Jon pitching like the Jon of last year is a great great sign. Nice to win giving Crede a day off. I bet Anderson ain't going to be playing much against righties the rest of the year.
  4. I'd like to win the division and win the first playoff series. After than, it seems it's the best against the best. I just want to do that. Or I'd take being the wildcard and winning the first playoff series. I don't want to happen to us what happened to Boston. Their fans seemed to be content to losing to us the year after their big series title.
  5. I can't believe we have to scoreboard watch the Tigers. They need to come back to reality and start playing like the old Tigers, Maggs be damned.
  6. It's time to ship him where he belongs, the minors. He's too young right now to help a big league ballclub consistently. Too bad he had such a good spring. He should never have made the parent club at such a young age.
  7. I hate trades within the division. Whoever we send to the Twins could burn us in the future since we play each team in the division 34 times a year.
  8. It's great to see Crede fulfil the promise so many had for him. I love having a great defensive third baseman on the team. Now he's hitting the bleep out of the ball and should make the all-star team unless he goes into a slump. What a star!
  9. That's wild, William Tell. Are you young or an adult? You should make the drive to Chicago or KC or Detroit and see a game outside. It's amazing on a beautiful summer night.
  10. Those are 2 damn fine bright spots. Anderson did look better and Jenks was amazing. Dye's blast was nice, too.
  11. Great win obviously considering the 7 spot. History for Mark B. Nice. Thome equals amazing.
  12. My point was just that I hate to watch baseball indoors. On a beautiful summer night give me the Cell or Kauffman Stadium (minus the crap Royals) and it's heaven. Indoor baseball is hell. Who wants to watch indoor baseball?????
  13. We want to win as many games as we can. I'm all for the Sox in first all season if they can swing it.
  14. Please, baseball, make the Twins implode the Humpty-Dome. Indoor baseball is a joke. How any fan in Minnesota could pay modern day baseball prices to watch ball in there is beyond me. We're probably going to get swept in that dump unless we wake up which is hard to do in that indoor monstrocity.
  15. Good thing we acquired Vaz. If need be, he and McCarthy can complete the 5 man rotation and we still should be OK.

Good post, great post. I feel for the 22-year-old. I just personally hate the knuckleball and all it represents to the game. That's why I want him long gone. I've never been a big Wakefield fan.
  17. Great post. I agree. Our bullpen is not overly reliable. Basically we haven't ably replaced hermy.
  18. Add me to the list that don't like the fact he used or uses steroids. But if it means BMac can start, I'm in favor of the move. We should trade the knuckleballer to Boston. They seem to be OK with knuckleballers.

I hate the idea of having a gimmick pitcher on the world champs roster. Knuckleballers are a joke. And yes I liked Wilbur and Wilhelm but that was 90 years ago.
  20. It would be nice if it worked out like last year when Hermy did it first half then Jenks. With pitchers more and more brittle, I entered the year thinking Jenks would not last all the way through. Hope I'm wrong.
  21. You Ozzie critics make me SICK!!! Forever past and forever more the manager most often gets the blame. Don't let it bother you so much. That's where we got the words armchair QBs and second guessing. In my mind it's the fault of whoever wanted to pitch the knuckleballer. Gimmick pitch. Sucks.
  22. This is a no brainer; time to start McCarthy. Trade the knuckleballer. God I hate knuckleballers. They are a joke.
  23. How'd the knuckleballer look tonight? I know nothing about the game. I assume in the final analys he's why we're going to lose. If Jose pitches tonight, no b****ing; another win.
  24. I wish we'd simply pitch Brandon. I got a bad feeling about the knuckleballer.
  25. This again proves Jerry Seinfeld's "rooting for laundry" theory on team sports. Exactly. Perfect analogy. That's why Frank is indeed gonna get booed.
