ARow is a neat story. Losing Reed is not gonna be a big deal at all if ARow keeps this up and we re-sign Maggs. He's an everyday player at this rate in the big leagues. Good job Aaron Rowand. Glad KW didn't give up on him. Hope he's here to stay. He's valuable.

He's fine. This isn't like college sports where injuries are hidden. If he's hurt we'd know bout it.

Great job bringing this back. I'm not against criticism, but some Sox have proven they can f***ing do the job and deserve support if they have a bad outing or two. Mark B is one of those Sox. Another IMO is Maggs. And another is JOSE V! I love Jose.

I don' t buy the "trying hard" argument. A hitter can try and still go 0-for-4. A pitcher can try and still get rocked. Put in the pre-game work and listen to the coaches and see what happens.

Comparing Carl to Maggs is like comparing Ben Davis to Johnny Bench.

Make this trade last winter and we'd have gotten a ton. Rauch was highly regarded. If we had the money of the Yanks I wouldn't mind over paying 'cause it'd be apparent we'd just sign free agents to fill our gaps. But all we do is trade away our "name" prospects, which is overpaying. Trade some scrubs nobody has heard of once in a while. I mean Everett for Rauch??? C'mon, last winter we'd have laughed at that deal. Rauch acts up one game at Cell Field in leaving early and everybody is glad to get rid of him. Everett has been hurt and hasn't done squat this year. Hope that changes for our sake.

Why do you say it's guaranteed Rauch will never be better than a No. 5 starter? That reliever we gave up sounds decent, too, if it's true he throws 95. Hopefully that was a typo by somebody. We would not give up a 95 mph fastball for aging, injured. Carl Everett.

Sure hope Everett can get healthy and stay that way. His stats this year are not good. I guess our minor league system sucks. We must not think too highly of some of these guys we've been shipping away.

Looks like KW pulled off a winner with the trade for Freddie. Looks like he will be the real deal for our staff. Even if Olivo and Reed become stars, it looks like Freddie is not flash in the pan. We got one star out of the deal. Of course with pitchers, one Tommy John surgery ruins it all (knock on wood for FG). Just ask Sirotka, Parque, Britt Burns et all.

With Frank out and KW telling fans he's going for the Series this year, we KNOW there's gonna be a big trade. Look for us to ship 3-4 top prospects for somebody like Beltran, soon. KW isn't gonna have egg on his face after saying he's going for the series this year.

Olerud is a lefty bat and maybe he's not finished yet. That's why I want him with his anemic stats from the first half. He could be finished, but we'll have to pick him up to find out.

I don't want to be a naysayer, but my opinion of our team is not as great as Kenny's. What are we, 6-7 over .500? I guess adding Randy and Beltran would make us great. Would those 2 guys make us automatic AL champs? Maybe. If not, we've mortgaged the future. I guess it might be worth the risk. Randy and Beltran are pretty good, but get ready for crowds of 9,000 all next year once we lose Beltran to free agency and Randy retires.
