Oz is sick of seeing him suck. Jose V. has produced big time in some clutch situations, so he's not a front runner regarding Jose who has proven he can play the game. I want Uribe to succeed, but it looks like he is what Oz says he is ... utility.

I hate people who keep repeatng themselves, but I think I'll repeat myself again. We are at best a 10 over .500 team. At worst 4 under. Is that good enough to win the division? That is the question.

Big Hurt don't get the Sox tattoos. There's always the chance our team could move or be disbanded someday and yu don't want a permanent tattoo of a team that doesn't exist.

I know he's not that bad, but I'm not a huge Everett supporer. Are we gonna bring him in every year and watch him see our team go down the drain? Why didn't we try somebody else this year? Why bring in Everett again? Joe B did look clueless today, but we might as well play him every day and see what happens. The guy is old enough. It's sink or swim time, but I admit he certainly looked stiff and useless at the plate today in my opinion. p.s. How did Ben Davis hit a home run? I saw that on TV and thought it was a mirage. Is there hope for Ben after all? He looked like a pitcher at the plate on his previous at bat, then next at bat he connects for a HR.

You are being overly dramatic Jeckle. Just as if we won the first two of the series wouldn't guarantee us squat, losing the first 2 doesn't matter either. The problem is no Maggs; no Frank means big trouble, coupled with the fact Uribe is not the Uribe of early in the year; our catchers can't hit much and we have little to no speed. We're probably continue to be streaky which means we'll be in the horsecrap division race til the end.

Losing Frank and Maggs would kill any team. Our only hope is if our current guys somehow ignite and that includes Borchard. No more trades please.

Jeckle, That was kind of a nutso post by you. Uncharacteristic. That ain't gonna determine the outcome solely. Our team has lots of issues w/out Maggs and Hurt. Pitching and defense I think are gonna be the keys with our lineup moderately anemic cause of injuries.

That's not as bad as I thought, also. Wonder what his record is the last 3 weeks when he starts. It sure seems they lose a lot when he plays, but the stats are proving otherwise I guess.

That colm wasn't one of his better efforts in my opinion. What if KW had expressed panic and told Jay that the Sox were quickly looking to make a deal, etc. He'd probably write the column that KW had no confidence in the current guys and was ready to make a panic trade. I think the way the team is going, with Freddie being great and Aaron doing well and some others kicking ass, this time he coulda wrote a more reasonable look at the team without Maggs/Frank. We're drawing big crowds and playing pretty well. It could have been a more reasonable column rather than throwing out all those possible trades. I'd have picked maybe one trade and integrated that into a less maniacal column. In my case, I'd like to get Walker if we don't have to give up too much. Or just pick up Olerud. I'd give Jay a C- on that column.

He has some bad at bats, but I love the guy.
