  1. I'm a big Cease fan and feel like he can take over a game, series.
  2. My choice for Game One is takin' the mound. Please Dylan. If you throw seven innings of shutout ball we probably win! Cmon Sox are better than a sweep.
  3. We're gonna be fine. Those were road games we lost.
  4. On the other hand, if Sox had won just one game in Houston, Hahn would be in the running for a lifetime contract. Sox would be the talk of the town, likely on their way to another round.
  5. Obviously they all are capable of lift and pulling their fair share of homers. None in Houston won't cut it. If Sox blast 3 a game in The Cell, it's going back to Houston baby. It's pretty easy to dissect nowadays. They are all trying to hit it out so they better connect collectively or Sox are done. Eloy is still gonna be a star, folks. Got to keep these core guys healthy next season.
  6. This post made possible because the Sox went 0-2 instead of 1-1 in Houston. You'd be happy if it was 1-1 entering Sunday's home game. Though I totally disagreed with the tank/rebuild, this team is, on paper, good enough to contend.
  7. Watched Br. Rice on youtube. 56-49 loss at home to Joliet Catholic. I hope the new head coach after this season isn't the current defensive coordinator. Rice has already hired Badke's replacement and he's on staff already. Not sure what his role is in this observational year for him. Illini signee on JC rushed for six TDs and 335 yards. he's 6-3 and ran over the Rice defense. Tough loss for the boys on Pulaski. None of the kids seemed too interested in stepping in front of the RB who had a career night.
  8. Yeah I need some time to digest Tony's comments. They may get a lot of play and could be construed as him being at odds with Hahn or construed as him ripping Kimbrel. This is all possible. Chicago media is pretty calm now compared to the days of Verdi and Mariotti. But you 'could' be right. Tony's comments might wind up being a big deal and the team could lay down in Game Three. I guess that's possible. I'll stick to the scenario of our fans saving the day and getting this baby tied at 2.
  9. i agree with the Kopech talk by the way. Let's face it ... we don't know everything. My uneducated guess is something's goin on. Is he hurt? is something off?
  10. Not yet. Think of how exciting it'll be (weather permitting) for pre-game before Game Three baby!
  11. Let's just win the next two games and gear all that fan energy into Game Five in Houston. Cmon. This Sox team has been on cruise control (albeit, injuries) for months now. How can they not get juiced at The Cell for hopefully two games? Packed place. All Sox gotta do is win Game Three the Sox way (home runs, adequate pitching). Then it'll be 2-1 and Sox ghosts of the past will help the team make up for blowing Game Four at home against the Orioles way back when when Dybber made the baserunning blunder. This time the series will go five (albeit the dreaded road) and maybe we'll get three pitchers to pitch three innings each and we win 2-0. Don't give up the dream. Our crowd is gonna be intense and Houston isn't that good.
  12. I understand your frustration but u are barking up the wrong tree (Jim Kaat shoulda chosen a cliche like that today not a racist thing that'll end his career at age 82). Jose is not to blame here. It's hard to play baseball with the flu. There's a non Covid bug going around that I caught too and it's a s----y chills like flu-ey annoying cough, cold flu. Just take a deep break, have a beer or two and get off the Jose stinks train please. He doesn't stink.
  13. He didn't choke. Didn't he get two hits today and on base twice yesterday?
  14. That is wild. Is it taken out of context? If not, Tony is telling us he didn't like the trade. 2 closers on one team?? Bad idea.
  15. I'm here. Fellas, these were road losses. It's a different animal on the road. Now if they all hit like young-un, stud Luis Robert, maybe we'd. be singing a different tune. Tony can't hit home runs for his White Sox.
  16. This talk of saving guys is frustrating. Sox are too passive the last few years (all the mind numbing injuries can make you that way I guess). But it's time to not coast (like the .500 ball the last seven weeks). It's time to pull an '05 and step on the throat and show the big boy teams we belong. I stand by my two wins in Chicago prediction but I do acknowledge the Sox not acting like they belong (of course I'm not saying this if the guys could lift and pull some homers as they do at home). Look, modern baseball is pretty simple. Hit home runs and hit some more home runs. Sox wil continue to do this at home. The passive Sox on the road will not. Let's get aggressive, Sox. You belong. Maybe next year Sox will crush the regular season and win 107 games and be a more aggressive unit!
  17. You guys laugh(ed) at me, maybe not you specifically, but I said going into the series Cease was Sox best starter. I wish he'd gone in game one and racked up 12 Ks but that's just me personally. Sometimes the eye test is not so bad. Hall of Famer Tony is 0-2 doing it this way, his way, and arguably almost all his moves have failed so far ... albeit on the road.
  18. I'm blaming home field advantage. Case closed.
  19. Winning on the road is almost impossible in the postseason for the Sox unless they hit home runs, 2-4 in a game. Sox have none if I'm not mistaken. Team will win the next two and our crowd will be amazing! Team will go back to Houston and try to not turn to c--p in the indoor arena again. That is all. GO SOX! p.s. The Chisox homers are coming back home baby. 2-2 series tie then back to Houston IMO. Albeit Sox likely get crushed in game five.
  20. I already suggested how long this game was gonna be. So much baseball to be played. In fact I have to leave for a bit. ....
  21. Don't wanna start anything, just wanna say Twitter is exploding. I guess Kaat said something that might be racist earlier in the game during a Moncada at bat. Don't be surprised if he's done for the rest of the series. Don't wanna go there so just do a Twitter check on Kaat.
  22. Nice rally White Sox. Lot of baseball to be played today. This is gonna be one, long game. Jose baby kept the rally going. Robert! Yes, nice stroke
  23. We knew these road games would be tough. Sox need to scratch out a win today somehow. I'm gonna be sad/miffed if Sox keep up this horrid play on the road. 0-2 is insurmountable
