Dylan Cease
That is true about McCann. If he really is that good working with pitchers then it's a no brainer. He's one of the most valuable players on the team in that regard. I wish he could talk all the guys into working fast. You work fast and you've got half of it conquered. Working slow is counterproductive.

Harold Baines is a hall of fame player; glad he got in.

Gerrit Cole - The Rebuild’s Fulcrum
35 mil a year and one pitch and it could be TJ surgery for a pitcher. These teams have to make what much be tough decisions. I don't feel sorry as the owners caused this long ago, but I can't imagine Jerry changing his philosophy and paying a pitcher that much.

Actually what you said is untrue. You said "nobody gives a rat's ass about Avi" which is technically wrong because I am a human being and I worship him so to speak so somebody does give a rats ass about Avi. I love his game and will never get over the Sox not keeping him for 4 million a year when they acqured all those hacks for big bucks.

I mean the release, sorry. Whatever the Sox did. They didn't want him and TB signed him for 3.5, lol. We could have kept him for pennies instead of the stiffs we acquired.

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
No offense, but if you are a contender there have to be better options than trading a real prospect, a can't miss, to Chicago for Colome, a guy who we acquired for just Narvaez. This year we truly are overvaluing our guys. Picture yourself as a GM. You don't acquire Bummer and Colome for a stud. Not to mention my prediction Bummer is somebody the Sox have no reason to deal. Too young for the flip mania.

Thanks for the stat. I stand by my statement though. Watch where that ball landed that Avi hit. It's as far as you can hit a ball in that stadium. I think it's obvious by his performance that Avi got the last laugh on Hahn and any haters he had. And Avi was crushed by the trade. Loved being a White Sox. Sad.

Fans of the sport should care. Watch the replay of that home run tonight. Very few ballplayers hit the ball where that one landed. Special.

To Sell or Not to Sell?
They are not going to trade Bummer just because he is a reliever and fans think relievers are a dime a dozen. The guy is everything the White Sox stand for: young, controllable, affordable, cheap right now and has been effective. He's the kind of guy they are trying to acquire. Young players. Now Colome will be traded. Not Bummer tho.

Looks like he gets the last laugh. A lot of fans thought he'd pull a Tank Viciedo and just fade away into oblivion. Avi has value still; hope he keeps it up. ... OMG I just saw the replay of Avi's home run. A big LOL to haters. That was blasted. Monumental blast. Roof shot in old Comiskey for sure. Avi Avi Avi!

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
B.S. I asked if he was older than he says. Never stated it as fact. Some of you guys make stuff up. This is a flat out untruth. I have never said he's 35 and you know why? I have no idea how old he is. And guess what? It's fair to ask if some guys are older than they say. If he's the age he says he is, great.

I guess the "momentum" towards being competitive was just dumb luck?
Don't forget also it looks like we'll have to replace Jose's bat. No matter what anybody says losing he and Avi in successive years and not replacing them ably is not a recipe for a winning team. Just the fact Boston wants Jose should tell you he's valuable. Vaughn? OK, maybe. We shall see if he's a fine slugger. It's good Lopez had a good night tonight. He's not dead so to speak, yet.

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
If Boston wants him, we better get a nice return. A lot of you think Abreu blows at this age, but as far as a hitter, he is a fricking all-star. I'm not saying you get the haul we got for Sale, but you get 2 damn fine prospects and one flier on a prospect. Seriously folks, you undervalue Jose, but he could be a nice piece for Boston for several years. He helps them win the title this year then signs and plays there til 37. Not everybody is afraid of a guy's years 32 to 37-38. Go Jose!

2019 Trade Deadline Predictions
Nah. Except maybe for Garcia, who we should keep. He's not a bad player. Reminds me a little of De Aza in a good year. Yolmer, Engel, Jay? No way anybody wants them IMO.

Abreu unhappy with roster decisions (seems to want Luis Robert up)
You guys worry so much about Jerry's pocketbook. It's crazy but that's just my opinion. Even if Abreu gets a lot of cash, they will be under the gun to $ign $ome free agent$ in the future. My take is stuff some money in Jose's pockets.

Steve Stone with a dose of reality for Sox fans
Don't jump on Stoney. It's just twitter. No big deal. I'm not offended. I'm one of the rare fans totally against the rebuild and tanking. I feel tanking is un-American. In organized sports you try to win, always. This tank crap is another example of the bizarre world we have now. (I'd add my opinion of the political landscape here but that's a no no). But I'm not offended by Stoney and I'm anti-tank to begin with. I feel excited I get to see Eloy and Moncada and Robert play ball. WOW. However I must admit all the injuries have me wondering. Also I'm mad because (if Eloy was healthy) I think we have a core of 5 or so very good players who should be able to win this horsecrap division if our front office would make smart free agent acquisitions, not stiffs. At any rate, if Cease and Kopech are healthy, and the front office does its job, we should win next year. (Yes Robert and Madrigal should be withi the team and Burger if he's healthy). I don't really care what Stoney's take is. I love Stoney and that's that.

Abreu unhappy with roster decisions (seems to want Luis Robert up)
I'd rather him go to the Cubs to stick it to the Sox, but Boston will be fine. He'll win there and love it as Sale does.

Steve Stone with a dose of reality for Sox fans
He needs a do-over. Those tweets assume anybody cares about the Sox. Yeah 20 or so diehards on a message board are furious. Big deal.

Steve Stone with a dose of reality for Sox fans
I didn't even know any fans were complaining? They can't be referring to soxtalk. Twitter isn't exactly ablaze with anti Sox posts. I mean the Sox are totally insignificant to a country and a city it plays in. Kind of dumb to tweet that. But I still love Stone. He should have praised Jose. The fact he didn't shows he's a company man which is fine. Again, I love Stone.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Just to get rid of those two guys, but I see your point.

Abreu unhappy with roster decisions (seems to want Luis Robert up)
Makes sense. Dombrowski knows a key addition when he sees one. And forget about Jose coming back in free agency. That will not happen. Good for the Red Sox. They get a heckuva addition in Jose. Professional in all ways. He'll be a postseason terror.

Yes but was that a four game sweep was my question.

A Look At Expansion...
Question: Would you be OK if the Sox moved to Portland and we immediately got an expansion team? Jerry owns the Portland team and we get a whole new franchise. He demands it's the Portland White Sox so we have to rename the team the Chicago Barons or Chicago Fire Trucks. And our new owners announce immediate plans to build a new ballpark in either the most accessible suburb to the highway or on 35th and Shields in the parking lot which was the old stadium property.

Abreu unhappy with roster decisions (seems to want Luis Robert up)
Thanks for looking that up!! And the advanced stat lovers do believe in lineup protection! That's one of the tenets of advance stat-dom. What do they say to that?? True I love Avi and Davidson, but hardly anybody else on the board does. THANK U!!! Avi forever.
