If the Sox tell them to open more stands I would think they would.

This thread is why baseball has to be getting worried about the comfort of watching games at home on big screen TV. If you have to wait long in line to go to the bathroom or get food/drink, that's not good. Just open up all the stands, geezus it's not that difficult, White Sox. These baseball teams with the monster player payrolls try to nickle and dime everything else.

Let's face it, let's never take anything out of a series with the Royals, either way. Royals thought they had a great starting staff and great bullpen and contending team after our series. Sox last year thought they had a phenom in Davidson. Sox-Royals games should never be considered when looking at an overall player's performance. I must confess I fell for it. Thought Gio and Lopez were gonna be the real deal and even added them to fantasy teams. One more bad start and gotta drop both.

Everybody talks about flipping relievers. Will Alonso be flipped at the deadline? Like somebody said on here, he looks like a real, professional hitter.

If he is dominant why the hell would we trade him if we'll need a closer for next season when we are a WS contender? Who is the closer we'll be targeting in free agency next winter? Now if Colome and Herrera suck or are meh, fine, trade them. If the Sox are .500 they'll be in the Central race. At some point they might try to win a pennant, that would be nice.

Benetti is a star in the making. Great voice and delivery. He needs a home run call but frankly not much else. He is a delight. Stone is simply the best color analyst alive. If you want to be annoyed, watch a Royals game.

Amazing the Cubs only got one WS title out of their tank/rebuild. Man, if they weren't so hot that one year. Just think if they had missed out on the 2016 title; that long stretch of jinx would still be talked about.

I'm sure he won the umps' respect in the unwritten ump rulebook. He never complained on all those strike three calls and they probably took notice.

Great win: Moncada, Anderson, etc. Why not now? Royals are pathetic; Detroit blows, Cleveland blows. None of those teams are going to go better than .500. I guess the Twinks could run away, but why not now, White Sox?

I was saying it's a shame he breaks the weird, stupid unwritten rules of baseball all the time. I wonder if all teams will start pegging him. I love TA, but I hate the unwritten rules of baseball. One time you should have an unwritten rule, they don't have it. There should be an unwritten rule against shifting to get a guy to pull the ball into it. It embarrasses the hitter, so it should be an "unwritten rule." WHAT A GREAT OPENER. I hope some of you who had such a bad time in 2017 opener were there today. Had to be a great atmosphere as everybody loves offense. Should be interesting to see if Hahn created a good 7th, 8th, 9th inning situation with Burr, Herrera, Cologne. This is what Sox baseball is meant to be. Packed crowd, exciting plays and the other team cooperating defensively. Moncada mania. He is going to make Hahn a hero.

I agree he passes the eye test and makes the lineup better. He might be a guy we've picked up at his age who can actually hit a bit. Hope so. But as of now I agree he looks like a real hitter.

Let's count the number of guys they go through in bullpen. He's No. 1 to be sent down deservedly so. He's really mediocre/awful.

Actually this year didn't have to be a tank. I've explained it in my recent posts. We actually are still going to have a tank-ish type record because of a mere 4 players or so.

Sox finally do something right! Beautiful weather Friday compared to ugh on Thursday. Sox should further apologize to the 2017 people. Put Harper and Keuchel on this team and a second baseman and a real catcher and one more reliever who can actually pitch ... uh, pretty damn good team. Think about it. All those moves were attainable with our payroll.

Moncada is for real. I don't need advanced stats. My eyes told me last year; they tell me this year. Once the umps got over their vendetta calling those balls strikes, his talent would exude. Moncada is a special hitter-to-be. He good.

We blew it. A frontal a$$ault would have gotten us Harper, the one of the two I wanted! Harper would be looking might fine in silver and black right now. One of our weaknesses would be FILLED with Harper. The heck with Manny. He needs counseling with all the crap he pulls on a baseball field. That catcher could get HURT there.
