I haven't studied WHY they honored Joe on Saturday at all so I may be way off base. Was it some kind of anniversary? My take, however, is brutal. Look ... I have players I despise, too, who have put up good numbers like Lawrie and Melky, but your hatred of Tyler Saladino is weird. I probably shouldn't hate Melky as he gets hits but I'm not a huge fan. I'd be OK with Tyler starting every day at second. On paper our new manager has a not bad infield of Frazier, Anderson, Saladino and Abreu. That's a playoff infield. Our catching is a huge problem. It's the catching situation of a last place team. Our outfield? Melky, Eaton and Avi doesn't cut it at all. Can't win with that outfield. DH is Morneau. He's a playoff team DH. Bullpen blows. Starting rotation is playoff worthy. Get to work, Mr. Hahn. Team isn't going to playoffs next year as it stands.
