"The things he's pointing to are things that should be evaluated and handled by those in a superior position to him," Brown said. "When you talk about police killing people and brutality, that is not something you can just march in the streets and protest against because every case is a different case and should be adjudicated. We have people in position in the political arena that should be spearheading those types of things. That issue is above football players." He also questioned the wisdom of using the national anthem to boost the visibility of the protest. "You can point it out but you don't necessarily want to disrespect the national anthem or the flag," Brown said. "There are outside entities that are trying to bring this country down. We have to go back to the memories of 9-11. If that memory doesn't do anything to you as an American, then you're not really that sensitive a human being. When you think of the sacrifices our firefighters make, think about the service of soldiers in foreign lands and listen to their lives, you have to be careful that whatever you do, don't cast a shadow on what these great people do. They make sure you have the right so speak out without retaliation, or at least no retaliation other than other people criticizing you."

I always enter 3 leagues. I usually win one of them and usually make the playoffs in 2 of the three.

I'm not going to blast them after giving me nirvana.

I have players I despise, too, who have put up good numbers like Lawrie and Melky, but your hatred of Tyler Saladino is weird. I probably shouldn't hate Melky as he gets hits but I'm not a huge fan. I'd be OK with Tyler starting every day at second. On paper our new manager has a not bad infield of Frazier, Anderson, Saladino and Abreu. That's a playoff infield. Our catching is a huge problem. It's the catching situation of a last place team. Our outfield? Melky, Eaton and Avi doesn't cut it at all. Can't win with that outfield. DH is Morneau. He's a playoff team DH. Bullpen blows. Starting rotation is playoff worthy. Get to work, Mr. Hahn. Team isn't going to playoffs next year as it stands.

Brother Rice beat the hell out of Montini tonight. They either had a running clock late or just called the game. Rice is 4-0 and looking pretty good. A game like that won't help them, though. I think the state champ team of two years ago is up next.
