  1. QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 08:48 PM) Greg you never struck me as a give Obama another year guy. Not crazy about that, but we need better candidates. Trump is going to probably drop out before the election and I guess Hillary runs unopposed or something.
  2. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 02:05 AM) Letting Robertson go for free would be a bad move. As disappointing as his season has been, there are teams that would like to have him in the bullpen come the offseason. The Sox are in a good position to be able to move him once the season is up. Judging value some relievers other teams got back, the Sox clearly were asking the moon for their major league pieces or actually think they can contend next season. They definitely dropped the ball, but I still think they could get a solid prospect or two in December for him. I wouldn't give up on him yet, he's not washed up. They had a chance to trade him a month before the deadline when he was doing OK and it was obvious the Sox were not contenders. Sad.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 05:02 AM) Shuck Oh, that was Shuck out there? QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 05:02 AM) Nate Jones is not a closer folks (neither is Robertson). Something about Kansas City and the Sox bullpen isn't there? Fourth game THIS SEASON the Sox led K.C. in the 7th inning or later...and lost. Mark KC definitely has had the Sox number for the last few seasons.
  4. Eaton didn't exactly resemble Willie Mays on that single up the middle by Cain. Not that it matters with Albers. Is he one of the worse pitchers in modern day Sox history?
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:47 AM) This would be a learning opportunity for those guys, Kanhle....basically anyone else BUT Albers. At least some things don't change much. Ventura maintaining his predictable ways until the very end. Well, perhaps he learned not to walk the bases loaded with Jennings out there and a leadoff hitter on 3rd. Robin concedes too many games. Putting in Albers in extra innings means throwing in the towel. I do think the DFA finally is coming. Albers is incapable of getting big league hitters out.
  6. LOL. It's pretty bad when you have to concede games like Robin does by putting in Albers. Fathom woulda won it earlier with a home run off that stiff Albers.
  7. Didn't Cuthbert walk us off already this season? I think he did.
  8. No reason to bunt, Ned. He could hit into a DP I guess, but kinda dumb of Neddie.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:42 AM) He's done that a handful of times this season. No reason he can't be better than Duke overall. Yeah, I've been unfair to him. My bad. However, this game is OVA with one of the worst pitchers in baseball on the mound, maybe THE worst and that's not hyperbole.
  10. It would take a miracle to extend this game another inning. I stand by my statement(s) that Fathom could hit a double off Albers if given a chance.
  11. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:39 AM) Tim Anderson is just a guess hitter. 5 strikeouts. I'd seriously consider sending him back to Charlotte. He should have been sent down 3-4 weeks ago with a .280, 290 batting average. It was obvious he needs work on his approach.
  12. Gee looks like Don Drysdale out there.
  13. QUOTE (harkness @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:35 AM) Royals just horrible this year... They do stink, but their record against the Sox is stellar of course. LOL Albers is up, so KC wins this game after all!
  14. Jennings is officially out of my doghouse. I commend you, Mr. Jennings. Sorry for blasting you in the past. You sir, earned my applause and admiration tonight.
  15. He might steal home, folks. Don't discount it.
  16. Now the squeeze is on. Nah, he's their superstar.
  17. They might as well squeeze. Kidding, not with nobody out.
  18. sorry i jinxed us; this game is about OVA.
  19. I'll give Jennings credit. He's been OK, especially of late. Win or lose tonight.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:20 AM) Gee is a long man, spot starter... The Royals announcers said this affects his next start.
  21. Wow, Yost pulled a Robin. He ran out of relievers. But he goes to a starter, not a position player.
  22. If Albers comes in this will be very quick even though KC can't hit.
  23. That was high for modern strike zones, but too close to take in the 12th inning. Sox are out of useable relievers. This game is about to be OVA.
  24. Sox yearly play so many one-run games. We usually lose them. Hopefully when we get good again we'll win our share of blowouts.
  25. Oops my bad. That was Colon not Mondesi.
