Puig's stats are not very impressive. Bad power numbers and not a ton of RBIs. I'd classify him as yet another bust in the non steroid era.

Some of you read my posts and remember them. My stance was a month ago we needed to beat everybody to the punch, give up and trade a ton of players not named Sale, Q, Abreu, Anderson. After blowing that, I don't want us to trade today. We'd get fleeced. Make the trades this winter. This season is over. Just play out the string then trade, trade, trade this winter.

Obviously trading a second round draft pick for Zach Duke means they have given up on Tilson as a top prospect. It's a good trade for the Sox as Duke is no good and it's Tilson's final chance to blossom. Avi never blossomed, but maybe Tilson will.

Robertson and Frazier to Boston should bring some decent prospects, no? I'm telling you, you don't really wanna trade Sale, Q, Rodon or Shields. If we had bad starting pitching and if we have BAD starting pitching next year, we might start losing 100 games regularly. Think about it.

One more thing. The fact Anderson's average and advanced stats are falling fast IMO is also on the coaches. Two walks or 3 walks in 180 plate appearances? Can't somebody give this guy some valuable pointers? Big Hurt even? Find Big Hurt and counsel him? Our hitting coach and our coaches in the minors couldn't work on his approach just a little? I love Anderson but he's gonna make it very hard on himself to put up any numbers at all with this approach of swinging at almost everything they throw up there. Coaches? Can you uh, help him a bit?
