  1. Look at the bright side. Strippers would have called u on stage n basically beat u up or whipped u with your belt or tore clothes U missed nothing. Any horror stories out there?
  2. Your premise is the Royals are doing something special. They have sucked, only rescued by their wins over the Sox putting them back on the right track twice now! They'll be back in the gutter soon, caulfield.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 02:59 AM) It still bothers me that I live in a country where a guy like Trump is a top 2 choice for president. It bothers me that Trump is one of the top two and the other is a person who in my opinion should be in jail for putting our country's security at risk. Both are horrific candidates, equally bad IMO.
  4. Bless Anderson Cooper. He knows the humanity of this. It's real. They are more than names. They are people! Killed by a maniac with guns!! Everybody should read this CNN report. The horror of this poor guy who texted his mom n died. The report ... For three harrowing hours, as Omar Mateen carried out his rampage inside the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, clubgoers hid in bathrooms, in air-conditioning vents, under tables. Helpless, trapped, shocked and scared, they texted their loved ones, pleading for help. One person whose story has really touched peoples' hearts is that of Eddie Jamoldroy Justice. Justice, a 30-year-old accountant, sought shelter in the bathroom from where he texted his mom: Mommy I love you In club they shooting Trapp in bathroom Call police Im gonna die His mother, Mina Justice, tried to reassure him that she'd called 911 and help was coming: Calling them now. U still there? Answer your phone. Call me. Call me. Justice replied: Call them mommy Now Im still in the bathroom Hes coming Im going to die He then went silent. He was among the 49 who didn't make it. How can any human being stalk people and kill them all? This guy was all over the place. Going into the bathrooms?? f***ing devil.
  5. They'll never trade Wiggins. Too risky that he's the next big thing. Trade will never get done cause Bulls will demand Wiggins be included IMO.
  6. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Or maybe Rollins really likes playing professional baseball and doesn't freak out like you do when his team goes from first place to .500 ball 1/3 of the way into the season. Get a grip. The Sox have lost something like 9 series in a row. The team has lost some of the most bizarre ways in club history. The team has not hit, has not pitched in the five week stretch. It is not a stretch to conjecture Rollins has to be glad to be out of Chicago.
  7. Finally! Nice bunt by Anderson. Nice job by Eaton to win it. Good to finally beat a Central team in Game One of a series. Oops, we also did that against KC. Time to start manning up and winning more. First time since 2002 Sox came back from 7 down to win. It took a while but indeed it counts as a comeback from a 7-run deficit. For a while it looked like Detroit would always be that one run ahead. Glad Anderson knows how to bunt. Moving that runner over helped. Some good performances in relief as well, even by the guy I have hated on, Albers.
  8. Finally. A walk off victory! Well, they came back from seven down for the first time since 2002. That's 14 years. If anything can pick them off the carpet it would be this even though Shields stunk. Good job by Eaton making contact and Sox win a home game!
  9. Why can't we win home games? it's not that difficult normally for a team.
  10. Holy cow. They couldn't put them away at home. LeBron always has a chance. If Cleveland takes care of business at home, we have a game seven. This could be just like the OKC series in reverse. Golden State blowing a 3-1 lead.
  11. Wow. Kinsler chokes. David excels. Beat them now or don't cry later.
  12. Kinsler is a Sox killer. Here.It.Comes. Gapper unfortunately.
  13. Frazier didn't get cheated on that at bat. He swung SOOOOO hard. Those pitches to me were straight. Too bad he didn't just make contact and stroke a single to win it. The longer it goes on .... we're the team that entered playing horrific baseball.
  14. Too bad Shuck didn't end it with a little single. I wonder how many fans left. It's 11 p.m.
  15. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 02:58 AM) In any other context, someone standing less than a foot away from your face and screaming would be classified as bullying, or whatever synonym you want to use. It looks normal to you because baseball managers have always done it, but for someone like me who just came into baseball in the last 3 years, it looks absurd. Welcome to baseball's "book." If you are a new fan, many things in the book are gospel. Getting in the ump's face is one of them. If you don't do it ever, you are a pushover manager. Accept.The.Book. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 03:58 AM) Funny they're playing for a managers job, and that manager is in the tunnel, or wherever. Great post.
  16. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 03:47 AM) Albers was almost unhittable last season and pitched well for the first five weeks or so before heavy use began to wear on him. Why you'd want somebody like that off the team is beyond me. Easy. I compare him to Humber. Same story. Inexplicably he's gone from decent to toast. He's 'one' of the reasons our season went to s***.
  17. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 03:46 AM) With a guy that has Tim's speed, I send him because it puts pressure on defenses. He barely touched third when the rightfielder was throwing. Would the catcher have moved back farther toward the plate if Anderson had been coming? The ball kicked off the catcher in retrospect, but he had moved up for some reason.
  18. I haven't read the early pages of the thread. I would think Shields got dissed. My only comment is the White Sox seem determined to waste at least $10 million. They saved it on LaRoche, who was so bad, then they turn around and give it to somebody who is worse than Danks (who of course also made big bucks through no fault of the Sox).
  19. Somebody said we DFA'ed Albers and I believed them. I was hoping he was off the roster forever. Was I dreaming that or was it just a joke by somebody on Soxtalk?
  20. It could be because I'm very negative, but I have never felt like we were (are) going to win this game. They still have us by a run. Anybody feel a W? I do not.
  21. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 10:49 PM) Terry Boers never really breaks news but he just casually said that Ventura is toast this week with a bad series vs Detroit. It really does finally have that feel. Lots of smoke about it from radio guys, bloggers, etc. This is why you don't hire former players. First Ozzie canned and hated forever; now Robin. I do agree Robin must go, but it also is sad.
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 10:48 PM) So it's meaningless nonsense not actually rooted in reality. Trump's stance is disgusting. It's diametrically opposed to Obama's stance. Trump is at least trying to save American lives. And Hillary taking a big step in calling them radicals makes me feel better about her leadership during her eight years. These incidents are getting worse and worse and nobody wants to even think about what is coming (if nothing is done) ... a big one in a packed sports stadium. When that happens it will be the end of sports as we know it. And one of the hugest tragedies in the history of the universe. Nobody wants to talk about it and i hesitate to even mention it on a message board but these bastards want more and more dead and packed stadiums provide sitting ducks.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 09:31 PM) What are you even talking about here? The "PC people" (I'm assuming this is an ill-defined group of generally liberal people?) are the ones in favor of stronger gun control and even for Obama's calls for a "no-guns" watch list. What do you propose should have been done to prevent him from legally purchasing a handgun and an AR-15, and on what grounds? What do you think saying "radical Islam" changes? Does it make the thousands of bombs we drop and the huge number of weapons and material we supply to anti-ISIS forces work better? It shows the PC people we mean business for once. Thank u Hillary. And thank u Trump for your stance on this as well. And Obama has a good stance on this and on guns.
  24. QUOTE (GhostofDickeyKerr @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 10:31 PM) I don't watch games, I don't click on articles, and I don't spend one penny on them in any shape or form. That will have to be good enough. I just want to be able to watch a game again without fear of some of the most bizarre ways to lose games happening on an almost nightly basis. By not watching games you've saved yourself some grief, although you've missed out on some of the most bizarre ways a team can lose games. You've also missed a lot of bad bunt attempts.
  25. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 08:21 PM) I just fail to understand why Avi keeps playing the field instead of Coats. Wtf? Besides that at least something different is being tried with the lineup. This guy is 26 years old and a 29th round pick? Doesn't sound too promising to me. Hope he gets a hit soon, albeit he's only zip for 7.
