Good video but very depressing. Points out pretty much there's no hope.

Path to .500 in 2025
As a Sox fan I never noticed too much the hazards of cheap owners (Jerry) or owners with no money (Veeck). That's because the Sox always seemed to have at least a few good players. Now after the current purge is complete we'll have no good players on the 40 man. It's why I've said many times on here Jerry should be fined heavily by the commissioner for putting this c--p on the field. It's disgusting. The few fans that go to the games (that Twins DH was a joke for attendance if u look at the highlights) are going for the same reason you'd go to a minor league game: just to do something on a summer nite. Sickening.

We're talking about .500. ... I saw some video yesterday from an all star game with Konerko. There were 7 Sox involved in the game during introductions. Seven. It was Konerko and Dye and AJP, Buehrle, Jenks, Contreras. Those were the days. The Chicago White Sox who soon will have no good players on the 40 man after the trades had 7 all stars!! And they didn't have to ever tank to get to that point. It's almost like the Sox are some Class A team stuck in the bigs. Very sad and very weird. Jerry should be ashamed that everything about his organization is minor league.

Moncada might play again. Nobody cares
Would any team be dumb enough to want him in a trade with the Sox?
-
Kopech hires Boras
He definitely is no good. I'd still move him to starter, though.

7/10 Campfire Milkshakes vs. Twinkies Straight DH 1:10PM CT
Four hits each game makes for dull baseball. Lucky to get a split. That said, the Sox have great starters. Bullpen is C- to D-plus but starters are sensational. Thorpe baby.

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
I hate to be such a nitpicky idiot of a fan. I'm not calling for his firing and I commend his getting such a good job at a young age. I just think screaming La Pantera and doing the Tony the Tiger growl is too much and sort of embarrassing and not worthy of an MLB broadcast.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
If you remember the Twins were blah before taking 4 from the Sox and having the Sox help turn their season around. The Sox make a lot of mediocre teams well.

I won't fight back and respond to the recent posts in this thread cause many of my arguments will be the same as I've given before. I will say a lot of my arguments don't consider Jerry and his cheapness cause for some reason I feel we can win in spite of him partly because of this gawd-awful division which the Sox have refused to dominate thru the years. In a nutshell, I personally feel it doesn't take much to compete in such a weak division and in my mind having special players like Robert and Crochet and the new Fedde are better on my team than some other team. It also would be nice to coach up guys like Eloy and Moncada and TA before that but the Sox don't seem to be able to get through to players and develop them. ... Anything else I say is repeating my positions. And don't forget my perfect team also has Cease and Tatis on it. You can't build a division contender with these studs? And how bout Semien who has put together a stellar career?

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Winning with four hits is pretty interesting. All the prime trade guys had big games to please the trade-niks (people who love trades; not meant as a slam; you have a right to love trades). Robert resembling a phenom; Fedde resembling a Freddy (Garcia in a good year); Kopech looking like Goose Gossage in his ultra prime. Only Leasure with the pedestrian line, Minnesota isn't that good, folks. Kind of embarrassing the Twins have dominated the Sox in the season series many years.

I need to give up on the topic. Can't believer real true blue sports fans think the White Sox trading their two good players plus one decent player (Fedde) is the way to go. Insanity to me.

You guys act like my opinions on this stuff are so wrong. I was talking to a baseball expert today about the Sox wanting to dump Crochet and Robert and he said "why would they get rid of their only two players?" Not everybody thinks the way you guys do. Sox are lucky to have any paying fans willing to put up with the way they tank/rebuild. What's wrong with Robert staying 2-3 years and making some memories on the south side? Who cares his contract will run out someday? The Spurs for instance have Victor. Why not trade him if u are the Spurs I can hear you guys saying? Get rid of him. With him they won 20 games. Sad you guys are accepting horrific baseball because it MAY lead to good baseball someday. Losing is for losers is what I say. You got allegedly two of the best players in the league; you keep them and try to win a few games.

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
You don't think they are baseball geniuses?? They don't need analytics to know ball. They are encyclopedias baby.

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
Where is he from? I should be more neighborly. I just don't like the stand up southsider yell. I prefer more intellectual stuff, baseball stuff from the likes of Harry, Hawk, Stoney, Brickhouse, Pettit, Elstun, Farmer, DJ even Kaspar whose voice is kinda harsh. I respect Kaspar though.

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
I'm not as mad at the southside chant as the growl. I just feel the southside is a place u have to have lived to own it. I'd rather someone else speak for southsiders.
-
Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
Agreed. As a former resident of 103rd and Homan me no likey him referencing my southside. Has he ridden his bike from 103rd to 115th for Little League? No.

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
Exactly except I was in a frat and I resemble that statement. Frats that don't haze can be good IMO. His bosses should step in and say, 'Sorry but we didn't hire you to growl. Normally we wouldn't interfere but we simply ask you be professional. Please remove the growl from your repertoire. Thank you.' I hate to be this way but I also dislike Southside Stand Up. It's just not good broadcasting IMO.

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
That's because they are true professionals. They don't growl for gosh sakes!

Schriffen’s “La Pantera RAWR!” Call
This is the greatest post in sports message board history. It answers the question quickly and beautifully. ... My two cents added: The fact that this indeed also reminds me of Tony the Tiger shows what an unprofessional, horrible, silly, ridiculous, all-time disgraceful call the growl is. I mean I feel for our new announcer. I wish him the best. But you cannot embarrass yourself and your franchise with a growl. The growl is a low point in Sox history: Think of the announcers: Elston, Brickhouse, Pettit, Carey, Farmer, Hawkeroo, Stoney, et. all. They would not approve IMO. Subjecting Stoney to the growl is very very sad.

I thought Robert had 3 years left on his deal. Why is he not able to stay?

GMs skeptical teams meet price for Robert
So we fans are talking about him basically being unable to play consistently and we think GMs don't have the same concerns? Think of what you just wrote. You are pretty much conceding he'll never be healthy. If I'm a GM I pass unless I can get him for peanuts. Can you imagine we package Eloy and Robert in a "pray they can stay healthy" duo deal?

GMs skeptical teams meet price for Robert
This is like a bad skit. A franchise in the pathetic, cheap Central Division is expected to maybe be a contender in 6-7 years? This is almost impossible to believe. If this is true the Sox truly are the worst franchise in all of sports. Six or seven years??? How do they sell any tickets for this bumbling franchise? Can you imagine paying non Stubhub prices for a night at the ballpark to watch these clowns operate?

All I can say is 'wait and see.' I would argue DeJong has no value (seriously, cmon) and Pham as much as I love him has close to no value. Again ... why would a contender want to mess with either of those guys? Fedde? Hats off to him for a fine statistical season. Let's see what he's worth. He might bring something useful.

Who are they going to move? Seriously. This trade deadline should be interesting. We have Crochet who likely is on some innings maximum coming up. Good luck selling that to fans of a big money contender. I can't remember a big trade deadline trade like that where some contender is supposed to be making a trade that benefits the team next season not this one. Some teams are trying to win now, not in a perennial "wait til next year" mode ... Then there's Robert. None of us know what GMs are thinking but there are some injury red flags and frankly some production red flags. I heard on the broadcast last night he's walking more which is good. His traditional stats reek (.224, 10 HR, 19 RBI) but of course those don't matter. We'll find out what his value is as he turns 27 on Aug. 3. If he stays healthy he has five or six good seasons left which admittedly are a good number of seasons. I guess everybody is counting on getting a ton for Fedde and Kopech. Fedde has great stats; Kopech is one of the worst pitchers in baseball. Should be interesting. A 5.31 ERA doesn't excite me but again that stat doesn't matter in analytics. He throws very hard and that's that. Funny that in trading a guy our main selling point is "you can move him to starter and fix him." Also Leasure may get something but gawd knows why with his 5.22 ERA. No offense but in conclusion Fedde and Leasure IMO won't bring much; Kopech will bring very little and you tell me what we're gonna get for Robert (red flag injury) and Crochet (unavailable in postseason nicknamed "Mr. Wait Til Next Year"). Peace out. p.s. I forgot Eloy. If any team takes on this injury prone alleged slugger, wow. That's all I can say. Can you imagine trading for Eloy? A GM would have to be temporarily out of his mind to acquire one of the biggest busts of all time. Double peace out.

7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
Allegedly Leasure was pretty good and teams actually valued a trade with the Sox for him. I dunno about that now. He seems as bad as any pitcher in the league to me.
