Putnam gets another win. Eaton with the bomb. Home runs are nice.

I wonder what doomed Beckham? He was supposed to be a can't miss star hitter. I guess he has a slow bat.

Soto almost won it there. Well this is it. If we don't win, Putnam gives up 2-3 runs and Toronto wraps it up.

Beckham is officially done. He got traded and experienced a new organization, came back and is worse than ever. He's toast.

That Avi play was like my old softball team. There was always one dumbass who ran himself into an out every time.

That was so stupid of Avi. Absolutely NO reason to think you'll make it there.

Avi out by a mile; he's just embarrassed.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 03:25 AM) Heh. Remember when some of us thought Gordon had turned it around in May? I'll admit. I was fooled.

I'd walk Abreu if I were Toronto against all baseball logic.

Beckham, Flowers and Sanchez coming up. Only hope for a run is the rare occasion Beckham or Flowers deposits a cookie into the stands.

This game is winnable. Now you are going to see how average to lousy our bullpen really is.

LOL at Becks. Horrid at bat. He's so bad.

Nice rally going. We could use a home run. Have we had many of late? I remember Eaton hit 2 leading off consecutive games and that's it.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 02:14 AM) Attendance = 17032 Without that Cub series, that's about it for the rest of the year. When Sox play Royals and Tigers and Cubs there should be more fans of the opponent there than Sox fans.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 02:08 AM) We have distinct proof otherwise. Then I'm wrong. I feel we have a lot of Nick Swisher's on this team. Melky and LaRoche remind me of Swisher. Lousy hitters.

I said he was a "cheater in the past," what's so bad about that. You are right though, I truly dislike Melky and LarRoche.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 01:58 AM) How much longer can they keep throwing Danks out there to get shelled? His salary is a SUNK COST for Christ's sake, why is that so hard to understand? The Cubs kicked Jackson out of the rotation and were quick to kick out Wood as well, why are we so slow on the trigger? So frustrating. It really doesn't matter at this point who pitches. Danks has had some good starts as well as pathetic ones.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 01:54 AM) Steak to dog crap. No need to rip a player that strongly. I've been tempted to rip guys like LaRoche similarly and don't go that far. Some of us are Danks fans here.

For Those Who Question the Effort or Desire of the Players
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) While I never want to see Ozzie back as a coach or manager here, I would love to see a personality LIKE Ozzie's in the lockerroom to keep things loose. Southsider, you whiffed on this post after a series of good ones. There are no "personalities" in the dugout. Piniella and Ozzie are gone. They are all cliche machines scared to death of offending anyone in this PC world. Ozzie was unique; there are no personlities LIKE Ozzie's around. Clint Hurdle might be close. These managers are scared of the PC police and just trying to survive day by day without offending anybody or getting fired.

My crystal ball is telling me Blue Jays 7, Chicago 1. So if you have a bookie or are in Vegas bet Jays and the under for a little parlay.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 8, 2015 -> 02:48 AM) You know Melky has been our best hitter the past few week right? That's like saying Cutler is the Bears' best quarterback the last 8 weeks of last season. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 8, 2015 -> 02:49 AM) If every single batter isn't going up to Q and apologizing ferociously, they're wrong. Call up Micah and Davidson. Davidson can't be any worse than Conor and then Gordon can go back to a backup INF role. Amen. I'd endorse those two moves!

Can't believe I wasted two hours of my life watching that crap. True, I got to see the master, Q, pitch. But I already knew he was a god. Sickening display of offense, White Sox. All the usual suspects continue to suck. Please get rid of LaRoche and Melky ASAP. And trade Shark for a haul!! Get the trading in gear. We can rob somebody blind for Shark, who is excellent of late.

Good bunt. Sox haven't had a clean hit in a while. How bout a base hit???
