GT: White Sox (40-44) vs. Scrubs (46-39) [3:05CT / 4:05ET]

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 08:23 PM) Techincally Rose makes 19 a year, but with endorsements it's more than Lester. So what you are saying is Greg was, uh, right in his original observation? Endorsements don't count. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 08:20 PM) Are you aware of a sport called basketball? OMG Rose makes more than 26 mill a year? What a waste. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 08:21 PM) That'd be Derrick Rose. That shocks me he makes that kind of money. Another guy not worth the $$$. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 08:16 PM) He's like what, fifth? Just say he's the richest sports figure in Chicago. Big first inning for Sale. It's obvious Lester has nothing today. His ball isn't popping at all. Hopefully Sale is Sale again today! -

Glad to see Saladino make contact and drive the ball where it is pitched. Melky with the weak at bat, but as good as a bunt there. -

Great start. Sox are loose, like they should be after yesterday taking the pressure off. As far as Lester, 26 million a season? What a joke. When will owners learn??? -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 08:38 PM) Which of course ignores "Words coming out of the journalists mouths", but anyway. What words are coming out of their mouths? They are unanimous in going ga-ga over Hillary and her being the first woman president. They speak of the issue as if it's a done deal, which it is. Nobody else has a chance and the journos know it and say it.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 06:05 PM) Which of course ignores "Words coming out of the journalists mouths", but anyway. Yes, when Hillary gets into office, the media will try to get her if she breaks the law or has some controversy. But the big thing is they'll make sure she gets elected. And when it's time for re-election they'll do what they do and mock the Republican candidates, make sure she gets re-elected. Then they'll take a potshot or two and try to get her in trouble, but the key point of this is the media wants her to win and she will win. They wanted Obama to win and he won. It will take a rare Republican candidate to ever win again.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 06:09 AM) I was wondering who could possibly like trump. Of course it's Greg. But that's how I feel about Hillary, the way you all feel about Trump. I'd pretty much take anybody over Hillary, although I really did despise Romney. If it was Romney vs. Hilly I'd sit that one out. I like Trump because he's not willing to get chastised by the media when they overreacted to what he said. The media doesn't like it when they get a candidate in what they think is a controversial moment and the subject does't recoil and cry and apologize. Trump basically says "f*** off" I don't hate all Mexicans and you are not gonna get me to back down from something I didn't say." He laughs when Macy's boycotts his merchandise and now he's mocking Macy's cause people are ripping up their Macy's credit cards for messing with Trump. I love it. Limbaugh is the same way. Look at that celebrity who said "I hate America." She's all apologizing and everything. All she had to do was say, "I hate these big fricking donuts we have in America. It came out wrong. Everybody grow up." Trump is great cause he won't give in to the media overreaction to his statement. People are way too PC nowadays. Did you see it's even affecting standup comedy? The PC police is all offended at jokes nowadays. What a country we live in. Read this link and tell me you don't like Trump. He blasts Hillary, calls her the worst secretary of state ever, lol. He rips macy's. I'm liking him more and more. He will drive the pundits crazy if he wins the primary. Trump says things that will make TV very very uncomfortable. http://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2015/...l-beat-hillary/

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 05:24 PM) He's trending upward and if this team decides to sell, I think he could actually fetch a couple top 10 prospects from a team. That's why we simply have to trade him ASAP. Take the best offer and get some guys who can help the team rebuild.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 11:44 PM) What an absolute pleasure it was to watch today's game. Great defense, great pitching, solid fundamentals in the small ball game. Thoroughly enjoyed taking that in in person. Let's take 2 more this weekend. What was it like to be there? Standing room only would be a good test of the park amenities. Does it take forever to get to a bathroom stall? Are the bathrooms gross? Are the seats all cramped together compared to the Cell? Is the food any good? Long lines for food, too? Does the park seem like a sewer or not? I remember Ozzeroo used to say it was a dump. What is it like to go to a game at Wrigley now vs. the Cell?

QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 02:08 AM) You guys are too tough on Avi, IMO. Let him finish out the season; he'll get his at bats. Geez, the guy hit close to .370 in 3 trips to AAA. Bad injury last year. This is his first full year in MLB. I'm pulling for him. I agree. Doesn't baseball have a hitting problem right now? Avi seems like he has a chance to be a good hitter. Maybe not but baseball is full of lousy hitters right now.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:02 AM) Watching the replay on Comcast....Bonifacio was out at 2nd on his steal. Thanks ump! He must have really slowed down at the end or is just slow, then. The catcher got a late start throwing it and I thought Boni was safe by a mile. If he was out, he must have slowed down a lot near the end of the steal attempt. I thought he had that baby stolen in large part cause of the catcher's lousy plant and throw.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 12:35 AM) None of the 3 balls he put in play were hit hard. Agreed. He didn't hit the ball hard today. Nothing in his background suggests he'll be much of anything in the bigs. I guess the only thing in his favor is he was a 7th round draft pick second itme around in the draft. But he's done very little in the minors to suggest he'll be anything but utility type player at best.

Either a nice boring 1-0 win or Cubs steal the headlines with walkoff. -

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:23 PM) I would've rather seen him. I don't trust Duke in a 1-run game with his HR rate. When Putnam is bad, though, Fathom can take him deep. -

Well, don't shoot the messenger, but how many games have we won like this, this year? A simple 1-0 win where we had good defense and manufactured the only run. I'd venture to say none. Maybe a reverse jinx is in order here, but a clean 1-0 win seems out of the ordinary for the White Sox 2015. -

Yay, Shuck. Well, win or lose it's been an efficient baseball game so far for the Sox. They got the run in. -
