  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 07:30 PM) Because you are a professional in game 3 of an 162 game season. You seem like you are in a bad mood. It's not like they went crazy in the dugout.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 07:27 PM) Robin-ball has been defined by teams extremely short on talent trying to rebuild. Yeah his rosters have sucked but it's also been very bad baseball defined by very few winning streaks to get excited about. Chicken and egg thing.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 07:26 PM) These guys think it's still the playoffs. Celebrating a hit in the first inning? Why not celebrate? This reminds me of an old playground buttkicking and they are mocking the Sox pretty much.
  4. Royals fans are such a joke. They hate the bunt, but love when Moustakas does it cause the perception is he can't beat the shift by bunting.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 06:59 PM) It's 2 games. White Sox fans like to complain. We're just so used to losing and looking bad/dysfunctional while doing it that this seems like a continuation of last year and the Robin era. Robin-ball has been defined by some individual highlights but pretty much bad baseball. Plus every year the pennant is decide by a game or two so even if the Sox do contend, it's not healthy to drop game after game in bundles.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 01:08 AM) No one has the same law as Indiana. That just isn't true. I was reading today we do have a similar law. I hate to say "we" in regards to this godawful state I live in. I guess I need an intervention to get me out of here. f*** the Royals.

I really do appreciate what you guys said about it being difficult to shoot a guy in the leg or in the hand. I guess I expect too much when life and death is on the line and if the officer thinks his life is in jeopardy obviously he wants to shoot to kill lest his wife be a widow and kids not have a dad. Maybe they could work on it a bit at officer camp on running targets and tell the officers that not all situations are alike. Some situations are obviously not life threatening to the officer like this one. This one is just so ridiculous. I'm glad he got charged with murder. Anybody know if he bailed out?
  8. As expected, Cleveland, KC and Detroit look good. Minnie and the Sox? ... Uh, we'll see.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 03:06 AM) All.Out.War. Declared. I want to see the Sox declare war. After watching LaRoche stare down Duffy, then whack a double, I'm convinced he can be our leader. If we get swept by KC, I hope LaRoche freaks out in the clubhouse. So what if it's early. 0-3 will be unacceptable.
  10. If the Sox stink this year I'd be all for changing to an organization that keeps firing managers every 2-3 years til we get the next superstar skipper. I mean I worshiped Ozzie and was loyal to him, but I'm not in the mood to be that loyal to Robin, even though I like his interviews.
  11. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:25 AM) I can see people getting upset. It still looks like the Sox of 2014 playing games 163, 164. Yeah, that's what bums me out as well as being doormats vs. the Royals.
  12. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:23 AM) only real positive is some of the offense today. f*** this s*** man. it's early but what a s***ty way to start the year two games where in the end it wasn't close. Why are the Sox so lousy against teams in the Central? Do you guys like our chances in any game played at Kauffman? Royals on paper are so much better than the Sox it's scary and sickening. 6-13 is probably about as good as we can expect vs. KC until things start changing drastically.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:21 AM) OK, I will defer to greg The Sox actually started the hat tipping thing with the SouthSide Hit Men. There's nothing wrong with it ever IMO. Sox playing disgraceful baseball in KC. WAKE UP BOYS!!!
  14. Tomorrow is key. 1-2 at KC is acceptable. 0-3 would be pretty anemic, putting some pressure on the guys to get their act together at home in a hurry.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:17 AM) Because it's the second game of the year, and it's bush league. That's why. But then again, you tend to enjoy bush league antics It's not bush league at all. Again, it was a game winning home run by a guy the Sox are throwing at. Sox need to man up and start beating KC and not whining if they are whining.
  16. Tomorrow could really be ugly with KC already having won the series and already owning the Sox, going for the cut-throat sweep. 13-6 last year vs. Chicago. 2-0 this year.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:13 AM) Curtain call? Really? Why not? It's a game winning home run? Good job, Putnam. Disgraceful. That uppercut by Cain was hilarious. He just teed off.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:12 AM) Well....this season is off to just a lovely start. Royals bullpen >>> Sox bullpen Continuation of last season so far. Sox getting owned pretty much. KC has 15 hits I think. When will the pain end?
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:12 AM) Wow this bullpen looks like garbage. Just not a lot of good stuff out there. I'd have to agree. Where's the stuff?
  20. Until we start winning again I have to say LOL. Nice job Putnam. And it's Cain, the guy we have been throwing at. Nice.
  21. Our relievers don't strike out enough batters. Not good.
  22. What's the mood of this thread. Tie games late on the road normally equal heartbreak. Yes, I'm hoping for the reverse jinx here. p.s. Eaton was out by a mile stealing. Is he even considered a basestealing threat?
  23. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 05:47 AM) The royals just want to feel like they are relevant after last year. They'll be an AL punching bag this year. Their defense is too good to be a punching bag. I guess if all their starters turned to s*** it's possible they won't repeat. But the bullpen and defense are guaranteed to be excellent this year.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 03:09 AM) Also apparently tried to cover it up by placing something near the body. You just can't shoot a traffic violator in the back as he's running away. I know nothing about that cop, but he's going to jail for murder. If he's a normal, upstanding citizen, I feel sorry for him. I realize Milkman laughs at me, but why can't these bad cops just shoot a guy in the leg or the foot or the hand? What's with the shooting to kill in all these instances? s***, the minute the lawbreaker realizes the cops are shooting at him, he's probably going to stop running anyway unless he is suicidal.
  25. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 12:59 AM) But it certainly means someone on the Sox is getting drilled tomorrow. Abreu, I'll assume. If Shark did it on purpose, and I don't assume he did, it was idiotic. Not to mention the fact that you'd be putting a base stealer on base in the 5th inning of a 4 run game. Then there will be a fight in the game. If Abreu gets plunked I guarantee you he's heading to the mound. At least Duffy will be out of the game early.
