Sox trying to deal Lindstrom
QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 07:10 PM) Not giving up a home run all year is a plus. Bad timing with that outing yesterday though. Might as well take what you can get though. He was so bad yesterday. I don't see how any GM would give up anything of value for this guy. Hate to be so negative, but Lindstrom? He's just another Boone Logan type of pitcher IMO. Just another guy.

Rios, $1M traded to Rangers
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 08:26 PM) Hunter Pence is overrated. I hope SF locks him up so we can dump Rios. I gave Rios several earfuls on Wednesday night. Perks of having 2nd row bleacher seats when Rios doesn't hustle for fly balls, strikes out with with a man on 3rd and one out, strikes out swinging for the fences with 2 strikes and grounds into a double play. I have said it before, Rios should be moved to change the attitude of this team. I don't want any TWTW bulls***, but lackadaisical losers who don't hustle have no place on my ideal White Sox team. I just want to be able to forget about Rios and Dunn forever. Please get rid of them, Rick Hahn.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX LOSER!
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 06:17 AM) This team is so bad. How bad is it? It's so bad I can't see that inevitable late season run happening. What kinda blows is that the Astros and Marlins are maybe even worse. And crap, here come the f***ing Brewers. This will be a great last couple of months to see who can be worse. Don't worry. Sox are so bad at home they'll wind up as the worst team in baseball. Road losses take care of themselves. But our team is SOOOO bad at home that'll assure the worst record.

Rios, $1M traded to Rangers
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 01:51 AM) Nice to see Pirates struggling again offensively Fathom, you know your baseball ... am I out of line in thinking Rios will attract nothing of value? Why would Texas want a guy who can't catch a deep drive in right field and is hitting .276. with 12 homers and 49 RBIs? Also 21 stolen bases which I guess is above average to give him credit there. What is so good about Rios that Texas would NEED him? His numbers do not scream, 'all-star.'

Jesse Crain dealt to Tampa Bay
Why is Coop still considered a genius?

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 03:42 AM) At least one guy holding himself accountable: Phegley. Taking blame for the loss on Twitter. https://twitter.com/JoshPhegley He's right. That was the key moment. I still like Phegs, though. But that was the game right there. Shields knew what he was doing, too. He walked Beckham knowing he'd shoot down Phegs. Boy the Sox stink this year.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 03:18 AM) That would be fantastic. I've seen some draft/minor league experts say Rondon could easily be top prospect in baseball in two years. Who is Rondon?

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 03:12 AM) Stupid Astros are on fire (in terms of losing). They're looking good for the #1 spot. Sox are going to finish No. 1. This team is going to lose so many road games it'll make your head spin the second half. This home record is declining and declining every series the team plays in the Cell. You'll get your wish. This is by far the worst team in baseball. I mean when Gillaspie is maybe your best hitter? Cmon.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
Sale vs. Wade Davis in game two. Should be another 5-1 KC win. It'll be 1-1 when Sale exits in the eighth. Somehow Davis will get the Sox out even though he gets nobody out.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
A 4-pitch ninth inning. It's truly embarrassing. You are down 5-1 vs. Hochevar you are supposed to take a few pitches. This team is truly a pathetic excuse for a ballclub. Team is performing so badly in the Cell, I'd say the Sox still could finish with the worst record in baseball cause it's not going to magically win games on the road the second half.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 03:07 AM) I'm holding out some hope that they can make a managerial change after the season, if for no other reason than he's not going be there in 2015 anyway. Just speed up the process on that front. Hahn should be able to hire his own guy. How bout LaRussa? Sign him to a 10-year deal.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 03:06 AM) I tend to think any cash sent with Peavy would be limited. He doesn't have to be dumped. I agree to disagree. With his injury history, he makes a ton of money. Isn't he guaranteed something like 15 mill next season? Or I'm I wrong about that?

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
Pretty dumb of the Royals to bring in their closer, Holland. They definitely don't need him with a 5-1 lead.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 03:01 AM) How many managers in the majors wouldn't have been fired by now if their team performed like this? Good question. He definitely has done the worst job of any manager in baseball this year (with the exception of putting Rios in his place).

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
This is truly like Little League, wait even Little Leaguers can catch that. Nice catch Wells.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 02:52 AM) There goes Lindstrom's stock. Fathom, you could have hit Lindstrom tonight. You played juco didn't you? Lindstrom was soft tossing and simply pathetic after promptly walking Butler to start the inning.
-
GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
Some contender wants Lindstrom? I'll have to see that to believe that.
-
GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
LOL. 3-1 Royals. Nice easy stroke by Cain for the single.
-
GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
Nice pitching by Lindstrom ... not. First and third, nobody out.

GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 02:45 AM) Why would writers know anything about that until a player is traded? It can vary to nothing toe verything depending on every possible factor you can imagine. Yes, but either the Sox will send a lot of money to the teams willing to take on Peavy/Rios or they won't. How much money philosophically are the Sox willing to burn, just to have teams take the big money guys in return for prospects.
-
GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 02:39 AM) Camera showed Peavy and Rios talking to each other. Probably discussing where their gonna be playing in 4 days or less Have the Sox beat writers written how much money the team is willing to send with these two players? They need to get some sources and tell us what Jerry is willing to spend on these guys' salaries with their new teams.
-
GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
Viciedo with the pop up. He's had a lot of hits lately so I won't blast him for that horrific at bat. 2-1 entering the ninth.
-
GT 7/26: Yes, Peavy and Rios are still on the team
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 02:36 AM) Nobody has hurt this team more than Konerko. A DH, making a ton of money, that can't hit. Thanks for the memories. Hang em up buddy. He's just too old. No more power. Too bad. Gillaspie with the solo shot. 2-1. Sox trying to return to the glory home run days. One home run down. Need more, only way this team has ever been able to score.

Poor Paulie. At least he hit it. Warning track fly out. The shutout continues. Two down in eighth.
