  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 1, 2015 -> 08:20 AM) ND - Clemson is a pick 'em. Essentially, ND is favored by 4. That's gonna be a really tough game for them. Death Valley is a very difficult place to play, especially in primetime
  2. QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 10:35 AM) God I hope he hits next year. I really want this dude to be star. That'd be great, but I'd settle for him being an average MLB OF offensively to go along with his much better than average defensive abilities.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) You can thank KW for that.
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) 1. When they rank his performance from last night behind Blake Bortles, who lost by almost 50 points. It has to be looked at as negative performance. Rodgers was ranked 17th out of the starting qb's from this past week. Let that sit in for a second. 2. His fumble was on a free play. They docked him points for a couple of big plays because they were on free plays, but the fumble is counted in full. There is little logic in that. Free plays that he created pre snap by the way. 3. This is really a big one and the hardest to rank. Even PFF has admitted today they don't rank anything presnap. So if Rodgers saw something in coverage and moved Cobb over to his right, which ended up making the play look easy, he gets no credit for that and it all goes to Cobb. 4. Should have been an INT. So I have no problem docking him on that play. Although it wasn't that close, the LB would have had to make a great catch on a fastball he wasn't expecting. Still a bad pass. Also one of the guys from PFF tweeted today that Rodgers shouldn't get that much credit for throws that "you or me" could make. I thought that was one of the dumber things i've heard and makes me wonder if Rodgers makes things look so easy that people are taking it for granted. He was talking about a couple of the TD to Cobb. His fumble was not on a free play. The play was bailed out by a defensive holding at the last minute in the end zone.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 08:50 AM) Ugh no. He's a volume passer in a pass only offense. You don't waste a high pick on a QB this year. Trade down and load up on defense. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 09:07 AM) You could always move back into round 1 for a QB. If they pick in the top 5, it'll be defense or LT Good luck. Kansas City had no luck trying to move down a couple years ago when they had the #1 pick in a draft with no obvious top end QB talent.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) Chiefs should trade for Cutler. I'd rather KC just turned it over to Chase Daniel. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 11:44 PM) I'm not sure if the Chiefs offensive line is this bad or the GB pass rush is this good... Their O-line is below average.
  7. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 09:22 AM) I haven't seen a truly dominant team yet. I think any of these teams could end up in the playoff: Ohio St, Michigan St, Mississippi, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Utah, UCLA, USC, Baylor, Oklahoma, Notre Dame. I don't think they're that good, but if FSU beats Clemson at home, their toughest remaining game is at Florida. Can't see an undefeated ACC team being left out.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 11:21 PM) A Colts, Blackhawks, and Kentucky /Louisville basketball fan is complaining about their teams sucking? That's not allowed. Yeah, I know. I mean, I grew up a Chiefs fan (no playoff win in 20-ish years) and Sonics fan (moved!). I also chose to root for Tottenham when I picked up English soccer ten years ago (chronically underperform). Thankfully, UConn has a good sized presence in upstate NY and I grew up rooting for them. The only consistently good team that I root for.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 09:53 AM) Based on his whole career, Laroche has been far better than Viciedo. Laroche is also 36 years old. He could also be done. It's not ideal but there is a real possibility Viciedo could put up better numbers than Laroche next season. I hope we aren't in a position to even find that out, but I can see it being a possibility unfortunately.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 02:33 PM) I find this to be a lot of sour grapes hindsight, not that I think Reid is good at clock management. Not really. It's called frustration with a head coach that consistently finds ways to put the team at a disadvantage during the course of a game QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) As a guy who's owned Jamaal Charles in fantasy for 3 straight years and who watches a lot of Chiefs games because of that, I hate Andy Reid too. I can't image how bad it must be to watch such a talented team under-perform as a fan of the team though... He needs to trust what works more. He tries to get cute too often and goes away from what's working. Way too many times last year he just goes away from his best player for no apparent reason. QUOTE (Boogua @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 04:31 PM) Did you have KC -3? No. I've been a Chiefs fan since I was 10 years old. I actually had Denver as part of a 3 team teaser. (With ND and NE, so it ultimately won)
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 09:12 AM) It's so remote that it's better to just kneel the damn ball. NFL coaches are so risk adverse but they can't even play the odds correctly. I agree, but you do usually see teams give their RB a shot there to do something. If there were 10 seconds left then the knee should have been the play, but with half a minute you do usually see teams try something conservative just to see if they can break anything. After everything that had happened in that game I would have just taken a knee, but I am not getting as upset there as I was at other decisions throughout the game.
  12. That game made me sick last night. Andy Reid has got to be the most consistently atrocious game caller in the league. Opening drive, moving the ball well, Charles running well, get down to the 2. Let's run three straight passing plays in which none of the primary routes even get into the endzone! Result: Turnover and loss of 3-7 points. End of the half, up 7. Sure, let's call a risky out route instead of just running out the clock. Result: Turnover and 7 points to Denver. Late in the 4th quarter, again moving the ball well, what the hell was that WR reverse option pass play? Seriously? Not the time to get cute. One play later, turnover. I'm not going to fault him for the end of the game thing, you expect your star player to hang on to the ball there, but the odds of an inside draw from your own 20 and 30 seconds left (1 TO) leading to anything promising is very remote. KC had 5 turnovers (2 in Denver red zone, 2 in own red zone), went 0-for on 3rd down, dropped probably 3-4 balls that should have been intercepted and had almost 100 yards in penalties. And still should have won that game. Just a complete f***ing disaster. You can't give away games in the NFL like this. I'd bet a good amount of money that KC misses the playoffs by one game again this year. Just watch.
  13. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 06:52 PM) Im pretty sure its every Thursday for the whole season now. Its Denver vs KC this week. It's on CBS until week 9, at which point it reverts back to NFL Network.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 10:15 AM) If we weren't already there, I think it's about time that EPL clubs became auto-fades in European competition So Dinamo Zagreb (+460) beat Arsenal but Maccabi got blown out by Chelsea (+.5, +340). I'll take it.
  15. If we weren't already there, I think it's about time that EPL clubs became auto-fades in European competition
  16. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 08:11 AM) Having leury pitch is one thing... What if alexei seriously hurt his arm yesterday? Reminds me of Toby hall playing 1b in a spring training game. Probably no greater odds than him playing SS for a game.
  17. Denver (+3), NE (PK) and NO (-9.5) in a 3 team teaser this week? Getting them +13, +10 and PK seems like a no brainer. Which means Buffalo is going to blow out the Pats.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 02:48 PM) Just to note the difficulty - if Thursday night games are going to continue the whole season, that becomes really difficult to do unless you're offering a 2nd bye week. "Our bye week isn't until week 15 because we've got the last Thursday game of the season" and "our bye week is week 1 of the season" are both equally poor scheduling and a major disadvantage compared with teams that have a bye in the middle. I'd be completely fine if the NFL expanded to 18 weeks and offered every team 2 bye weeks throughout. In fact, it might make for a better product. And I wouldn't hate an extra week of football
  19. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) I like the two Monday night games. NFL should scrap the Thursday game and just do two Monday night games. No thanks. Games starting at 10:30 PM would be terrible.
  20. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 11:53 AM) Why is Minnesota favored against SF? Who would you guys take tonight for the NFL and why? Because SF is going to be terrible. I'm not touching the game because I'm not sold on Minnesota's offense yet. They need to prove it first.
  21. Had to sweat out a 4 team teaser this weekend. Had Clemson -6, Georgia -8, ND PK and over 39 in the DAL/NYG game last night. Thankfully ND pulled that out and that NFL game last night finally had some scoring after a lackluster first half.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 11, 2015 -> 11:47 AM) Indy isn't very good. Luck is incredible but the rest of the team is complete garbage and it is probably why the line is so small. Indy has a lot of WTF games. I mean, that's not true. They benefit from being in an awful division and having an elite QB, but they have a lot of talent on that roster too.
  23. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 10, 2015 -> 12:49 PM) Yes, I am well aware of this. Well, you keep calling them Winston. No one else does that.
  24. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 10, 2015 -> 12:10 PM) Winston vs Myrtle Beach 6:05 CT Yency Almonte gets the start for Winston. It's Winston-Salem.
