Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
From the looks of the fall I was worried about his shin or lower leg bone. If it’s muscular that won’t be the worst thing to happen. Although I have no idea who they’d bring up.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Sure, that is one thing, but firing teachers for getting vaccinated is completely different. I have a feeling plenty of issues will arise from people not complying with businesses as times goes on and that the guidance by the CDC and the rights of businesses to have their own rules will be very important. I wonder how long people are going to hold out until they decide to get the vaccine, particularly those who say they need more information before making a decision.

It was really sad to see a list of quarterbacks the Bears drafted in the Tribune the other day. I cringed at the names. The amount of quarterbacks they have had since the Super Bowl compared to other teams like the Steelers and Packers makes me like the Fields pick more.

I’m with you. Opponents should look at the cornerback depth and pick apart most of those guys easily. Get a corner before a receiver.

Sorry I didn’t satisfy you with my wording. I should have said drafted and I am referring to more Bears GMs than just Ryan Pace.

I like that Pace took a swing at a position they historically do not take many swings at. I want to read more scouting reports about Fields before I have more of an opinion. If his athleticism can make up for his weakness for not recognizing defenses and he only gets better at that with time, I’ll be happy. But I also am concerned about how Pace tends to pony up draft picks like there is no tomorrow, even though I know this was the price of doing business especially after we saw what the 49ers had to pay. I am hoping that Fields turns out to be better than most of the quarterbacks taken in the draft and that Bears fans can finally move on from the quarterback position because they found a franchise quarterback. They need to address CB, OT and WR next and I hope they address CB first given the lack of depth or ability at the position as it stands right now.

Greg, this paragraph tells you all that you need to know about the school and the founders. Also, they are just business people and don’t have medical training. “Unsatisfied with the schooling options available locally, they opened Centner Academy in the Design District in 2019 as the first “Happiness School.” The school’s website prominently displays: “MEDICAL FREEDOM FROM MANDATED VACCINES.”

Luckily, I haven’t had any side effects. I did get tired after a day of running errands and fell asleep for an hour after folding the laundry, but woke up to watch the end of the Sox game and only have had a sore arm since. I’m hoping this continues and I don’t feel crappy today, I even feel like I have the energy to do my 3 mile run this morning.

The Chicago Tribune had a list of the worst busts by team and listed Kevin White as the worst. I’d have him up there along with Cade McNown over Trubisky. At least Mitch was serviceable, McNown flat out sucked. I’m also on board with Chisoxfn’s idea. If they miss, the new regime can take another swing next year.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on with Abreu this year?

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Late this afternoon I get my second dose of Pfizer, which is what I wanted for my birthday on Sunday. I didn’t mention it earlier because my sister signed me up through a link she had and so I got it ten days before I was eligible. But I didn’t feel bad with how supply is outdoing demand and most of the older population got theirs. My wife had chills and fatigue overnight and slept through it after getting her vaccine and I am hoping I can have that same experience so I can have some beers in my backyard with some family and friends (most who are vaccinated) and be together with people unlike how it was last year with just my wife at home. I’m looking forward to moving on and hopefully getting the virus under control so we can get our lives back.

There’s vaccine hesitancy and then there’s anti-vaxxers who won’t take it period. For those who haven’t gotten it and are hesitant, they need to speak to their doctor and get off of the internet. They need to keep in mind the amount t of blood clots out of the total number of people vaccinated. And they need to realize that everyone has different side effects, it won’t be the same in each person. Some don’t experience things at all.

What do you think of the front office’s moves and the depth on the team?- And that's a White Sox Loser!
Tylenol? Pass the straight Jager shots.- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
Jason Kipnis and Yoenis Cespedes/Yasiel Puig > Jake Lamb and Nick Williams- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
And why does Grandal always get catcher interference called against him?- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
3 fucking hits. And a lucky win last night. This team reminds me of the drop off from the Bears in 2018 and then to 2019. Different sport but same stupid hype. Maybe the McCann and Jimenez losses are the difference.- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
Yep. I want to know whose dumbass call it was to not acquire anyone for replacing Jimenez, or at least why they didn’t get a DH. Playoff teams have actual depth instead of retreads. Can’t wait to see Lamb and Williams out of here and maybe Hamilton too.- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
Wishful thinking that Vaughn could handle the DH duties and that they could survive without acquiring anyone new to play LF with Jimenez on the shelf. And yes I know Engel is coming back but they still need another bat.- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
Eh, if Jimenez was playing I think things might be different. I’m not there yet to blame La Russia when they aren’t hitting.- Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
They need Engel and Anderson back badly. I never want to see Williams up here when Engel is back.- COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
J&J is at least 57% effective, although I didn’t see how effective the others were in terms of percentages with the South African variant. First and foremost, thank you for getting the vaccine. As far as your family member and friend reacting, it can happen, but for the most part, the benefits outweigh the risk. As for those who are against getting the vaccine because it won’t protect against variants, at least you will be in line for a booster and they’ll either have to start the process from scratch or risk the impacts of the variants. Whether or not to take the vaccine is a personal choice, but I think those who get it will be on the right side of history for defeating this pandemic than those who don’t get it. - Sox vs Indians - Tuesday, April 13th, 710pm
