  1. Late this afternoon I get my second dose of Pfizer, which is what I wanted for my birthday on Sunday. I didn’t mention it earlier because my sister signed me up through a link she had and so I got it ten days before I was eligible. But I didn’t feel bad with how supply is outdoing demand and most of the older population got theirs. My wife had chills and fatigue overnight and slept through it after getting her vaccine and I am hoping I can have that same experience so I can have some beers in my backyard with some family and friends (most who are vaccinated) and be together with people unlike how it was last year with just my wife at home. I’m looking forward to moving on and hopefully getting the virus under control so we can get our lives back.
  2. I’m sorry to hear what is happening to your wife. Hopefully things turnaround well for her and soon.
  3. 36. Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU 50. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame 52. Aaron Robinson CB UCF 91. Kellen Mond QB Texas A&M 204. Khyiris Tonga DT BYU 208. Richard LeCounte S Georgia 221. Simi Fehoko WR Stanford 228. Isaiah McDuffie LB Boston College 2022 MIA 2nd Damn that simulator is fun and is addicting. I did decently for trading out of the first round.
  4. There’s vaccine hesitancy and then there’s anti-vaxxers who won’t take it period. For those who haven’t gotten it and are hesitant, they need to speak to their doctor and get off of the internet. They need to keep in mind the amount t of blood clots out of the total number of people vaccinated. And they need to realize that everyone has different side effects, it won’t be the same in each person. Some don’t experience things at all.
  5. What do you think of the front office’s moves and the depth on the team?
  6. Tylenol? Pass the straight Jager shots.
  7. Jason Kipnis and Yoenis Cespedes/Yasiel Puig > Jake Lamb and Nick Williams
  8. And why does Grandal always get catcher interference called against him?
  9. 3 fucking hits. And a lucky win last night. This team reminds me of the drop off from the Bears in 2018 and then to 2019. Different sport but same stupid hype. Maybe the McCann and Jimenez losses are the difference.
  10. Yep. I want to know whose dumbass call it was to not acquire anyone for replacing Jimenez, or at least why they didn’t get a DH. Playoff teams have actual depth instead of retreads. Can’t wait to see Lamb and Williams out of here and maybe Hamilton too.
  11. Wishful thinking that Vaughn could handle the DH duties and that they could survive without acquiring anyone new to play LF with Jimenez on the shelf. And yes I know Engel is coming back but they still need another bat.
  12. Eh, if Jimenez was playing I think things might be different. I’m not there yet to blame La Russia when they aren’t hitting.
  13. They need Engel and Anderson back badly. I never want to see Williams up here when Engel is back.
  14. J&J is at least 57% effective, although I didn’t see how effective the others were in terms of percentages with the South African variant. First and foremost, thank you for getting the vaccine. As far as your family member and friend reacting, it can happen, but for the most part, the benefits outweigh the risk. As for those who are against getting the vaccine because it won’t protect against variants, at least you will be in line for a booster and they’ll either have to start the process from scratch or risk the impacts of the variants. Whether or not to take the vaccine is a personal choice, but I think those who get it will be on the right side of history for defeating this pandemic than those who don’t get it.
  15. https://www.timesofisrael.com/real-world-israeli-data-shows-south-african-variant-better-at-bypassing-vaccine/ Well, that’s not good but hopefully they are working on boosters. I wonder how the other vaccines hold up.
  16. I’m not sure, but that sounds familiar. Why does something like Mario Scalise sound familiar?
  17. Agreed, what a difference Len makes after not having a classically trained play by play guy for some time.
  18. Do we know if masks were required in the ballpark in Texas? I guess the issue I have is how difficult contact tracing would be after baseball games and how tough it would be to measure the impact of cases, especially if fans are from out of town. I’ll never understand why people can’t just wear masks for the sake of defeating the pandemic. It’s not like people are being tracked by the government either. It’s not a sign of the devil or anything out there. Even if people are vaccinated they should just wear the mask, especially because I know people who won’t comply and aren’t vaccinated won’t be honest and wear it. I just hope the private sector stands firm and continues to require masks for services, it just makes sense.
  19. https://www.baseball-almanac.com/boxscore/05022002.shtml James Baldwin was the opposing pitcher. Wow there were some bad arms coming out of the farm and ones that they tried relying on didn’t always work.
  20. Lol remember the Parque/Rauch game? So bad...
  21. There we go, I like it, I can call him a jockey without people feeling upset over making fun of his height. He finally did something good. It pays not to suck!
  22. Fair enough. I expect Eaton and Robert to make those plays and can’t expect much out of Vaughn, but he does look out of sorts and I wonder how often he will play there when Engel is back and they jettison Hamilton.
