  1. Why are we addressing a bunch of people named Butch??? Who's he???
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) Can someone call that jerkoff Dolgin and tell him that some people have effing jobs and can't take the day off to attend the game.. especially when they get out to 50+ others on the weekdays!!! But I think you are in the vast minority of people Steff. I don't think there are many of us who get to 50+ games a year, so I wouldn't take it personally. I think he is directing his comments more at the folks such as myself. But even I can't possibly get to very many games a year.
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) A little OT, has anyone else noticed that the lower deck has became more and more full the past week or so? Are they letting more people down there from the Upper Deck or is it the fact that the park is slowly filling up?? Northside fans found out we also have beer at our park.
  4. Ozzie should send Parque just to throw everybody for a big loop.
  5. Oh...I thought you were saying he played a couple games with a bloody sock and was also able to blow himself too. Congrats anyway Mark!!!
  6. ...man...what a tough friggin' crowd. I hope we might have a good season soon so that we don't have to eat our own.
  7. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) Now lets take 2 of 3 from those sCrUBS. Why ruin a good thing??? Lets take 3 of 3!
  8. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) Let's get those Northside Yuppies. I just hope we are not peaking too early like we did in 2000 and limped into the playoffs. But, the key is to get into the playoffs. Yeah Baby!!!! I never had faith in the 2000 team. We got lucky that year. This year I actually feel really good about the team. There is a much different heart and attitude on this club. I'm woozy over what the record is at this point. It's almost too good to be true, and all of the respect I am starting to hear in the media is CRAZY!
  9. QUOTE(zach23 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) Would it make him feel even better knowing that I roll out of bed around 7:30 - 8:00 depending on how I feel and then walk over to my desk in the loft of my house. There I sit and work in my boxer shorts. When the Sox play day games I can watch them on t.v. There is nobody around to bother me. I can drink while working if I want. On nice days I take the laptop out on the deck and work. No traffic to deal with in the morning or afternoon. If I get tired I can lay down and take a quick nap. I think anybody with a brain is jealous of you right about now.
  10. QUOTE(bmags @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) i remember watching that movie...bad a tv movie as it was it was very tough to watch... Mississippi Burning??? Is that the movie you are talking about??? If so, I want the same TV channels you are getting if you TV movies are as amazing as that movie is. It is kind of a HIGHLY respected movie. Not as respected as Billy Corgan mind you...but still...
  11. She was being a bit of a b****, but was it really worth zapping her? He walked away, said she had a bit of an attitude, then walked back and zapped her. He seems a little bit out of line here. Or am I crazy???
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) Im guessing it is the attention. He probably realized he will never have the same spotlight as a solo artist or fronting Zwan. I would actually agree with you, if your definition of "attention" is "more money".
  13. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:25 AM) A friend of mine told me that Billy Corgan took out a FULL page ad in today's Trib. In it he says, among other things, that he wants to get The Smashing Pumpkins back together. I don't really care about Billy or the Pumpkins, but I found that to be an interesting way of trying to communicate with your ex-band mates. Anyone else see this? The guy is such a f***ing putz. He really seems to think he is more to the music landscape than he really is. Like we really give a f*** about him thta much? Man, I can't stand the guy, and he is nothing more than a local star. The rest of the country really doesn't care all that much about him, and the rest of the world REALLY doesn't. The thing is, Chicago puts out so few Top 10 acts (popular stuff here) of this sort, that when we do, we seem to think the bands are more important than they really are. To match the fact that the guy is a raging Cub fan, he is also an arrogant prick and a mediocre songwriter and a lowsy guitarist. What a shmuck.
  14. They turned to crap after the brilliant Soul Asylum And The Horse They Rode In On, but that album and the ones before it were brilliant. This is a damn shame, is you ask me. He fought for quite sometime. http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Music/06/2...reut/index.html
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Here's what probably happened: They took him in and wanted to have a suspect arrested ASAP to calm the community and the general public. Eager Beaver/asshole cops interrogate the guy, probably keep him up for like a day and a half, tell him they have all kinds of evidence to put him away and the he's better off just confessing to it. I think I can safely say that no amount of Hell would ever get me to say I killed my child. Not saying he confessed, as I can't remember the case. But that always confused me when people would do that.
  16. Well...ummm...I think at one point I called for him to be strung up right away. Heh...ummm...yeah...pass the crow. Didn't he admit it right away though? Or something? Or am I thinking of another case? I might be confusing this one with the poor girl with the stuffed dolphin. That thought still haunts my nights. What was her name?

Those drawings in Peru are also some crazy things. It's funny though, those were probably some crazy kids hopped up on some ancient drug or something. Vandalism for all we know. And here we are trying to figure out the great secrets. LOL!

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) Partly the continental drift theory, maybe. Didn't that happen quite a bit of time before all of this whooey though?

    Pyramids

The amazing thing is that these things are in different areas. I mean, they are in Egypt and in Mexico. How was it that two civilizations were able to figure out how to build them back then, and the rest of the world is stumped on how to do it now? Crazy, isn't it? You would almost think this was a mystery to the whole world!

Ground Hogs did 'em. Lots and lots of ground hogs. Ground Hogs on Starbucks Coffee highs, to be precise. Big Foot was the crew foreman, and they brought in the blocks on the back of Nessie.
  22. Crap. I actually gained some respect for Cruise with that video. I think he handled it EXTREMELY well and came across as a pretty damn down to earth decent guy. Can you imagine what Penn would have done in a situation like that? I like the way Cruise took hold of the guys hand and gave him the chance to explain himself. Cruise was almost seemingly ready to completely forgive the guy with a good explanation. Crap.
  23. Me and the modern age...keeping up with the times I am! Currently listening to in a non-stop frenzy: Mississippi Fred McDowell - S/T Mississippi Fred McDowell - I do not play no rock and roll Blind Willie McTell - Atlanta 12 String Blind Willie McTell - The Last Session Blind Willie Johnson - The Complete Blind Willie Johnson Son House - The The Original Delta Blues Nobody could convey a feeling as well as McTell. Johnson was downright vicious at times and was one of the most powerful voices ever, you could feel the mans pain. McDowell could play a slide guitar unlike anybody else, and his "Red Cross Store" is so dang intense! To be in his 60's and playing as fierce as he did is a dream to me.
  24. Hackett is still doing his solo stuff. He just released one not too long ago, I do believe. Collins would go back behind the kit for this type of thing, just not forever. But they all still talk and get together for certain occasions. The boxset that they released a few years ago, Archives Vol. 1, actually had them all recording together again. The final song of the live LAMB was not on the original tapes, so they got together to record a new version in the studio. So they are willing to work together still and get along quite well. Gabriel just refuses to "whore out" the band. They don't want money to be the issue, or atleast Gabriel doesn't. Collins also had his Jazz band Brand X for quite awhile, so it is obvious he is willing to just do drums. Part of the problem is that so many people look down on the name Genesis now, thanks to the hit machine it became, and don't realize how great that band was once, and how cool it would be to see that line-up agan. I also agree that once Gabriel left the band took a nose dive, but the complete death was the departure of Hackett. IMO Trick Of The Tale and Wind and Wuthering are still respectable releases.

    Sexiest woman alive

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) In some closet somewhere is a portrait of her growing older by the day... LOL!!! I am pretty dang sure there is also no surgery involved with her.
