  1. Smith hits his pitch count and leaves after a Kurtz solo shot. Langeliers ties the game 6-6 with a solo shot off the minor league sub Mark McLaughlin.
  2. March 24th confirmed as the start date for the T-Mobile offer for those who partake, available to redeem until the 30th.
  3. Vargas double, Kelenic walk, Lee HR (110.8mph, 440+) puts the Sox back up 6-3. Rooker gets one back on a solo shot, 6-4. Smith's pitch mix is pretty different from usual today so I assume he's working on something.
  4. Acuna crushed one to the wall (103mph, 398ft) but it was caught. Colson crushed one foul and then K'd. Vargas walked and stole 2nd, RBI guy Quero comes through again to knock him in. 1-0 Sox. Kelenic walked, Sosa double clears the bases. 3-0 Sox. 29 pitches for Springs in the inning, so A's make an early change.
  5. 1: I wanted to say 3+ too but didn't want to be too aggressive based on his ST offense so far. 2: Martin is underrated. Don't think he's highest WAR, but do think "steadiest" is likely. 6: I have the opposite take, I think they'll be out of "move anyone not nailed down" mode and some of the short term guys stay. 7: Ick, I certainly hope not.
  6. The top 4 Sox on the HR leaderboard combine for over 100 HRs; the top 2 combine for over 60 There is credible reporting on the FO discussing an extension for one or more young players At least 3 Sox receive Rookie of the Year votes, including at least one not on the opening day roster The Sox pen finishes at least one month as a top 8 unit in MLB for that month Luisangel Acuna has a productive 2.5+ WAR season Also, similar to one of @Snopek's, I think "Trade Quero now because Teel is the future" takes age very poorly (even if WAR doesn't fully show it because of DH penalties)
  7. Shomon seems fun
  8. Witt Jr., good at baseball
  9. He does (that's how we got Vasil), but it should be likelier than not that he gets through. Not a lot of teams with MLB innings available to stash a guy who hasn't even pitched in AA. The Rockies seem like a particularly bad welcome to the majors for a young arm skipping levels, and Washington just signed Littell which makes them a less likely fit...who else would have the BP roster spot to spare?
  10. Sox finally make an out after a Bergolla RBI groundout. 3 triples in the inning
  11. They're just working him back slowly since he's missed time
  12. Solid 2 scoreless for Paez. Changeup was effective, responsible for all of his whiffs (4) and Ks (2).
  13. They have said they view Sandlin as a starter
  14. This swing would certainly play if he can harness it consistently:
  15. Kannapolis is low A, not high.
  16. He'd be about 5 months younger than Colson was for his Kanny debut, but Colson got to play in rookie ball after the draft. Sucks that draft year rookie ball reps just isn't an option anymore.
  17. Jeff Cohen is spending some time on the MiLB side of Camelback:
  18. Acuña single, Colson HR, Kelenic little League HR puts the Sox up again
  19. Acuña continues to hurt the ball hard, 110mph RBI single
