Yes, it is. Castillo has not been good all season and Doyle has been an awful hitter for 2 straight seasons at a hitter’s haven. Where are these small sample sizes again? Getz targeted two players on the downswing, rather than what most teams do — target players in the middle of good seasons.

Of the four players Getz acquired, one got injured in 3 games and the other three players have performed worse with the Sox than their previous team. Bad luck or bad targets?

No, call up Adams and use him in the rotation. Instead, we have a past his prime and expensive “ace” that has pitched one good start out of four.
