No, no you wouldn’t. Both India and Vaughn are close in age and have two years left of arbitration before they hit free agency in 2027. I don’t even like India but he’s a better player and hitter than Vaughn. No team wants a poor defensive first baseman that hits like a shortstop. At least India does a decent job at 2B. Vaughn brings absolutely nothing to the table at 1B or DH.

We all have to pray this doesn’t happen, cuz you know the addition of a “name player” in Lux that Getz apparently wants is going to crap all over the rest of the return (prospects). God, Getz is terrible.

His 2021 and 2022 seasons were pretty good. Injuries have nailed him.

🤢 🤮 Massey would be a better acquisition than Lux based on the years of control alone — 4 years with Massey versus only 2 years with Lux. Massey is also the better defender at 2B. Lux with 2 years left before free agency makes acquiring him make absolutely no sense for this team. But I guess Getz is going to continue to Getz… The Dodgers must be willing to take on Robert’s entire contract so cheapskate Jerry can save some money while selling low on Robert and destroying the return for him.

That’s just the hand that’s dealt to all Reds pitchers due to the park factors. I assume the Reds acquired him because he throws so many sinkers, but he still strikes out a decent amount of guys. I think it’s an absolute steal for the Reds.

Awesome 1st round pick, right as the Sox DFA their 2nd round pick, and we discussed Vaughn being a potential DFA. Whatever position player the Sox think they should draft, they should automatically take their second choice. Maybe that would work.

He’ll more than likely put up another .725 to .750 OPS with poor defense and either be traded at the deadline or non-tendered after the season.
