Sure, they wouldn’t and it won’t. However, the MVP Award should be based on performance and the fact is that PCA (8 WAR) has accumulated 1.4 WAR more than Ohtani (6.6) thus far. That’s insane. Hell, Yordan Alvarez is in third and he’s only at 5.6 WAR. Like you said, salary won’t be a factor but PCA is earning $894K this year and $115 million over the next 6 years. That’s insane.

Sorry, I really didn’t mean it to sound negative. I meant because you obviously watch the pods with Fegan more often than me that you would have a more educated opinion on him. I just watched the most recent pod with James and Fegan and some other dude (can’t remember his name) that you shared, and Fegan struggled to get his point across and was involuntarily/sarcastically laughing at most of the questions. Both James’es know way more about baseball than Our Chuck, but Fegan would also be terrible in Our Chuck’s current role. Strange cadence is spot on. I assume it is nervousness.

That pudding face is @Chicago White Sox’s wife’s hall pass. I would bet $1000 dollars that not only is @Chicago White Sox better looking, but that he could also beat Meidroth’s little 5’9” ass. Pretty sure my 18 year old son was that tall at age 12. 🤣

This was actually mentioned in the initial trade thread. Someone mentioned that Castillo had stopped throwing his changeup which caused his downfall this year, but I think it may have been @fathom who said that he stopped throwing it because he couldn’t get it over the plate. It was probably a little of both. So hopefully, he continues getting his change over the plate way more consistently and continues to gain confidence in throwing it more and more, which will lead to a shrinking ERA. It doesn’t matter how hard you throw. If you throw all fastballs, you will eventually get hammered by major league hitters. You literally need to “change” it “up” and “change” speeds which is what completely fucks with even the best hitters.

He’s definitely the next starter up.

Eh, he’s a smart guy and knows way more about the Sox and baseball than Chuck but he’s not ready to be on TV. Garfien is a stooge but he can actually spit out a coherent thought without being stumped or silent for seconds on end. Fegan would need a lot more practice to handle Garfien’s role. Just watch him on James Fox’s most recent pod and you’ll see why. I think even WE would agree with me on this. I think he shared the link.
