  1. 1 run scored!!! Avoided the shutout again!!!
  2. Then there’s no hope for anything with this team. If what you say is true, they are all non-sensical idiots that have no idea what they are doing. You just finally dumped Moncada and Eloy in the same offseason, but you are going to get cheap and greedy and also dump Benintendi in a trade of Crochet or Robert to screw over your return? Stupid as sh1t.
  3. This doesn’t make much sense. The Sox have had far worse players under big contracts that barely played due to being injury-prone and sucked even when they actually did play (see Moncada and Eloy). Benintendi at least stays healthy and plays, and now he is actually on a hot streak.
  4. Hopefully not. Hopefully he keeps it up and can either be a league average LF or can be traded with some money kicked in by the Sox. He should not be included in any trade of Crochet or Robert in the offseason.
  5. I said the same in a previous post. I hope caulfield was being sarcastic.
  6. Years of control. McCarthy is light years better than Fletcher but he had one less year of control.
  7. I really don’t see the point of this. Diaz is nearing retirement. What is he going to fix on this team in two months? Diaz is not a guy the Sox should be looking to sign in the offseason either.
  8. Vaughn up to a .699 OPS is a positive I guess.
  9. 7 hits, 1 walk, 1 strikeout in 4 innings. Getz was the only GM in baseball that thought signing Flexen for $1.75 million with $1 million in incentives was a good idea. Chump change for MLB money but Flexen only deserved a minor league deal / non-roster invite.
  10. Definitely not the fault of the former director of player development from 2017 to 2020 and assistant GM after that. ?
  11. And Getz wasted $25 million on these bums. He should’ve donated that money to charity rather than burn it in a fire pit on the worst team in history.
  12. He will get slapped back into place soon.
  13. Flexen not flexing? Go figure…
  14. My younger son just started as a freshman at Downers Grove South. He’s on the football team as well — a Mustang. Both of my boys are #69. ?
  15. They need someone to throw some innings I guess.
  16. You seem to want to ignore all of his bad acquisitions and trades. Fletcher over McCarthy? The relievers he got rid of are better than the ones he kept. The trade deadline was a failure. Vargas? Just because the Sox were expected to be bad this season doesn’t mean we should absolve Getz of all of his bad moves. Here’s how bad the lineup that Getz built is… The Angels just DFA’ed and sent OF Willie Calhoun outright to Triple-A Salt Lake. He would be one of the Sox best hitters. 254 PA .245 AVG / .315 OBP / .380 SLG / .695 OPS 5 HR 20 RBI 23 BB 31 SO
  17. Yep. Getz is bad at his job. The end.
  18. What a disaster. Next time, take the extra prospect(s), Getz!
  19. The Legend is milking the gig to make a few more retirement bucks.
  20. Beat me to it. ?
  21. Why is that a surprise? He basically gave away Fedde as well for a garbage strikeout typhoon of a hitter in Miguel Vargas.

No one is quiet. Why didn’t this lazy ass do this prior to the deadline? He has to hit a lot better than this one game to increase his trade value for the offseason. Robert can earn his fucking spot off of this team in the offseason by not being such a suck ass.
  23. Nice of his lazy ass to wait until after the trade deadline. Please keep it up, lazy ass Robert, until the end of the season so we can trade you for a decent return.
  24. Streaky isn’t necessarily a good attribute by itself. Stars like Soto get streaky like with his recent home run binge, but they still get a lot of hits when they aren’t on a streak. Robert is not close to “star” level. The Sox literally couldn’t trade him at the deadline for a good return because he sucked so hard most of this season.
