Regretting the Lost Julks
I’m a bit surprised by the timing of this article, as Julks is now down to .239 / .309 / .409 / .718. MEH.

Sox select Chuckie Robinson, DFA Ellis and then claimed by Mets
Okay, but ideally your team is paying good players a lot of money. Not crappy ones.
-
Fire Chris Getz
But did you know that the Sox haven’t been shut out in the last 41 games?

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
Was thinking this second part as well. Betts’ backup (Miguel Rojas) is pretty good but maybe they would prefer to keep him in a utility role.

There is only one poop master. I am just a cheap imitation.

Crochet preparing to be starter
Even right as a Sun Times article talks about limiting Crochet’s innings.

He makes Getz look like a baby GM.

6/16 Sox @ D-backs 3:10PM CT
Not saying he will always be this hit or miss but I think it’s pretty obvious why he has been traded twice already. Teams don’t view him as a true ace without that high velocity fastball. Made him a tradable asset rather than being viewed as untouchable.

Fire Pedro Grifol
Nah, he’s lasting until the end of the season. There have been several disasters and he’s still survived.

We’ve seen this song and dance before. When minor leaguers with absolutely zero power come to the majors, major league pitchers challenge them, and it doesn’t go well. Madrigal and Lopez are examples of this. I don’t see much value as a fifth outfielder. And fast guys like that with one tool of speed are always available — Billy Hamilton, Bubba Thompson.

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
I doubt they would even offer Beavers straight up for Fedde. The trade will likely be with another team than the Orioles.

He had a great offseason… Fedde, Fedde, and Fedde!
-
6/16 Sox @ D-backs 3:10PM CT
He will be yet another quick DFA for a GM who is becoming a master at cutting his own awful acquisitions in lightning speed.

6/16 Sox @ D-backs 3:10PM CT
He did throw some good ones that had movement in his first start. But yeah, it seems like his fastball is in the 91-93 range but he far too often throws a 91/92 MPH straight-as-an-arrow meatball right over the cock of the plate, which is absolute meat to MLB hitters.

He can’t hit, at all. His career minor league line is: .241 AVG / .328 OBP / .333 SLG / .661 OPS

What is their run differential in those 41 games?
-
6/16 Sox @ D-backs 3:10PM CT
Not sure why anyone would care about losing a 29 year old career minor leaguer. The Sox could pick up a catcher off the free agent/waiver wire that would be just as bad.

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
Sure, if the Sox are willing to accept their offer of table scraps.

Padres into Garret Crochet
So? You could argue that about almost any trade for a pitcher. There is a risk to all trades that is accepted to make a deal. Crochet has 2.5 years of control. His talent and performance, along with those 2.5 years of control would be what a team is acquiring and trading talent for, not some chance (or not) of a contract extension. His injury history would also be factored in on the return.

Along with a 19-53 record. Think Getz still has a shot at GM of the year?

Would you support the team if Jerry got the Saudi's to finance the new stadium?
Does “The 78” have room for both a new Sox stadium AND a Saudi embassy? Maybe tray would go along with that?

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
There are some prize winners out there. Sometimes they are huge and hairy. Not quite sure how some dudes manage to subdue these sloppy things.

Sox @ D-Backs 6/14
It was a valiant effort but our team proved too much for you in its badness. Thank you for your service.
