Zavala is way more than a 40 prospect. Depending on the source, the Sox did acquire three top 100 prospects. Baseball America for example had Iriarte ranked as high as 100 and Zavala in the 70s.

On May 22, 2022 TA was sporting a slash line of .359/.400/.517. Then the story about TA saying Josh Donaldson’s calls him Jackie went national and he hit .246/.283/.286 the rest of the way, with 1 HR and 6 RBI. Then followed with the disastrous last two years. Bizarre

Soroka in his last four appearances has struck out 16 in 8.2 IP with a 1.04 ERA and .484 OPS against, though. He did actually look pretty damn good against the Dodgers

There are currently 22 teams within four games of a wildcard or better and plenty of them are running out worse starters than Flexen. A few injuries pile up, Flexen strings together a couple decent starts. Definitely could be moved. With expanded playoff format, TDL is obvious seller’s market
